West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

there are as many truths as stars in the sky, and everyone of them different
perhaps that is the only real truth

It was almost foolish for an immortal or a supernatural species to not believe in magic. For what else could explain the way his own body shifted, the way his bones broke and realigned repeatedly without death clinging to him? Or the way a vampire could exist with no heartbeat and only a thirst for blood? I remember being confused by the first supernatural who I had met that spurned magic. Fear, I understood, but disgust seemed a rather odd reaction compared to the many variations of magic in the world. I thrived with the feel of my magic humming beneath my skin. Channeling it was second nature and there was a sense of power from it. To be ordinary.. to be human... I do not think I could have born such a thing. Not knowing what I know now.

His growl does little to deter me if only because I am surrounded by them often on the Ark. Many of the Weres had a tendency to growl in impatience at me when they wanted something - it was second nature, of course, their predatory sides so close to the surface. I was fascinated by it and even now my mossy green eyes snap up his as he snatches my wrist in a firm hold. His eyes are narrowed, judging my intent, but I wait as patient as I can. The buzz of my healing energy seems to shake in my arms. It has been a long while since I have used my natural talent, usually leeching my healing into my potions to be sold. I had very little time or companions with which to feel the need to heal. By the time he finally pulls my hands closer my head is cocked to the side inquisitively, not quite understanding what he was doing. A territorial display or something? The Weres were still much a mystery to me and I rather enjoyed learning what I could.

The moment my healing is complete he steps away and I smile serenely at him, poised as I turn to watch him settle onto the crates in such a negligent manner that it reminds me of the way Tobias slouches in his chair. Was he a cat of some sort? Was it rude to ask? Oh well, I didn't much brook shyness the majority of the time.

My smile becomes somewhat brittle but amusement twinkles in my eyes, his challenge met with the steady gaze of my green eyes. "I am not sure I should thank YOU, but I suppose a thank you is not expected for me. You didn't ask to be healed but sometimes it can't be helped." I glance at my fingers, rubbing the tips of my thumb and forefinger together, the buzzing sensation now gone. "Still, seems to me if you keep all your scars, you will be covered in nothing but them, especially if you enjoy the ring often." There is no condescension in my tone, only a mild curiosity in the tilt of my brow. His next question however, has my brows slamming down and my eyes becoming decidedly sharper, assuming he asks not for business but more for mischief. I can feel the access of my power, the way the shadows in the corners seem to shift closer to me. I was too far away from land for my earth magic to be of much use and besides, I was under the protection of the leaders here.

"If you are looking for easy money you'll not find it in me," I warn, shaking back my frizzy black hair. And just because I felt like being devilish I suddenly snap my fingers and grin down at him. "I got it! You are a fox, aren't you?" I was pretty sure that wasn't true, but no better way to get under his skin if he was some cat creature.
