...i might hate myself tomorrow...
She wasn't listening.
...It didn't matter.
Minn knew a lot of people and actually cared for very few. She didn't bother remembering names unless it was a food joint she really liked or some fancy-pants neighborhood that had amazing leftovers in the garbage on trash nights. So no. She didn't know Amelia or Astrid or... whoever. In fact, without much more effort than that, Minn could practically swear on her life that she didn't know this A-name person Bubbles was looking for. But... then again. She wasn't really trying. Not really. Not reeeaaally.
She licked the burger juices from her fingers and wiped the rest between a crumpled napkin and her jeans, absently finnicking with the food bag and the various wrappers in order to push them off to the side. It was hard to decide what to think, exactly, of this perky guest in her midst. Minn glanced over at her occasionally to make sure she was at least staying in one spot, which seemed to be the case for now. It would have been a lot weirder if she was one of those people that had to move when they talked. But standing still... standing still Minn could handle. When she didn't have anything left to do with the garbage on the table Minn turned to stare at Bubbles as she seemed to ponder something, Minn's eyes widening in mild concern when she announced the next question that was seemingly unrelated and... well. Random. Because... coffee? Minn didn't know jack shit about coffee. She'd much rather spend the little amount of money she had on food rather than some hot drink. Not to mention she pretty much had zero reason to ever step foot inside of a coffee shop. There were a few dumpsters behind some bakeries she visited frequently, but... That was about it. So.
Um.
"There's a lot." She guessed, answering slowly. "And...I don't know. Maybe. Sometimes." Minn stared, unsure of what else to do, exactly. A few heartbeats later and she could feel one of her eyes twitch, quickly bringing up a hand up to rub at it for a few seconds. Some of her old mascara and eyeliner rubbed off on her fingers but she only glanced at it briefly before wiping the residue onto her jeans. It didn't seem like any large amount that would warrant re-application anyways, and in the short time she'd been distracted by such a meager tangent Bubbles was already almost head first into the food bag Minn had offered her earlier. Hah. That a girl.
Minn leaned forward to rest her cheek in her hand, one elbow on the table, the other in her lap as she watched with strange curiosity. What was she doing? Was she just checking to make sure there was something in there she liked? It wasn't anything fancy. Not like a Big Mac with extra pickles, or one of those chicken club or salads. This girl looked like a salad sort of kid. You know. The type that ate them just for fun. ...Gross.
"It's packed with carbs and a bunch of preservatives. Of course it's good. Haven't you ever been to McDonald's before? It's the number ten. The rest of the stuff is from the dollar menu. You know. The good stuff." She clicked her tongue and winked, holding up and 'ok' sign with her fingers to signal that it was, indeed, the good stuff.
but im on my way tonight
