West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

"Great. This broad ain't backing down for anything. Tsch. So much for easy money and walking away from this... Thought this part of town lacked vigilantes.. Such a pain."
Donovan growled this in his own thoughts, scowling his lips a little in disgust.
This woman was quite serious about him returning the money, and taking his life if necessary.
He had been in similar situation years ago, but this didn't involve a woman that was also on the supernatural spectrum like he was.
"Alright lady, look. I don't really feel like messing around with you."
He stated as he unfolded his arm and returned to his normal facial expression. He lowered a hand just to reach into his pocket and pull out the wad of cash he took from the drunk.

"This is so degrading to me and my character.. Damn it, I'm really going to do what she wants and I'm going to walk away having done nothing productive.. Or will I?"
He thought this in his mind, as he would realize he would have to play this off somehow, and make himself fall in her good graces.
He did need work, and maybe she would have something. But first he'd have to do what she wanted.
This was painful for him, and his pride was soar.
"I'm putting the money back, alright miss? See? This is me, putting it back. You can put that damn weapon away because I really don't feel like having to limp around or go back to my sister and get a tongue lashing for having a cut. So let's just both relax, and start on a good note yeah?"

He really did it. He actually put the money back into the man's pocket and stood up with his hands in the air. If he were to cross his arms again, he feel like that would just mean he was ready to brawl.
No, he had to play this off right or it wouldn't go down how he wanted it to.
"So, you're a vigilante of sorts? Cool... I'm Donovan... Donovan Parker."
Donovan would say to her with a cool tone of voice, mixed a little condescension in his voice.
"Yes, I suppose by your definition I am a.. "Thug". But yeah, congrats. You got me. So maybe you want to help me out now since I'm being such a good person? I might be a little crude and rough around the edges, but we can get along."

Yeah, with that tone of voice, she wasn't going to buy that. Great. Donovan didn't exactly know how to really speak properly to people. He was always coming off snarky, sarcastic and extremely off putting.
Maybe she'd see that and excuse him for it. Maybe she wouldn't. He hoped for the later outcome.
The last thing he wanted was to be making someone like her into an enemy.
"Yes, I know people will hire an honest worker, and I can be. But check my name toots. I'm not exactly workplace material.. Unless you got something for me that doesn't require to tell someone who I am, and then end up getting the boot and cuffs."
He opened the door, and now he waited to see what move she would make form here.

All was now reliant upon luck and chance.
