West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Like "Oh, I could've died!" Yeah, lucky to be alive. (Frost/James)

and maybe we are two sinners
who go bigger, but burn quicker

She paid attention as Frost explained the reason he was able to know she was a vampire, other than her deathly smell. Interjecting Frost, she joked, "Huh, I thought the alcohol would help mask the decaying odor." As their conversation transitioned to garlic free cupcakes, she couldn't help but appreciate the crack in Frosts calm and collected personality. He did snort just like a horse. It was rather endearing. "Well, that's definitely reassuring," she smirked, as he teased about the cupcakes being garlic free, somehow. It was refreshing to chat with someone who could care less of what others thought of them. As well as finally having a conversation where she didn't have to read between the lines or decipher exactly what it was the other person was ultimately saying. Boy, did that ever get tiring. After poking fun about his nose, he was able to wittingly respond back explaining he was indeed a werehorse. "It makes sense then," Lisé nodded reassuringly. "I've always wondered what type of creature I would be. Perhaps an enraged badger? Nah, I'm too tall. Perhaps a giraffe, a really mean giraffe." she chuckled.

Frost moving on to the subject of how exactly she wasn't typical, she made direct eye contact with him and matter-of-factly spoke, "If you hang around me enough, you'll find out. But I don't think you want to pursue it." In the middle of the conversation she felt the searing discomfort bubble inside her body. Without another word she shot up from the café's booth and ran out the door. Stopping for a moment she darted in one direction and kept sprinting. Oh, how she boiled with an anger unlike any other. When she would find James, she would give him a piece of her mind. Why should she always have to drop everything in her life to be at his beck and call? If the pain wasn't as excruciating as it was, she would be tempted to run the other direction and morbidly, cease to exist.

It was a crackling of pain that fed deep into her bones. "What a fucking joke," Lisé grimaced with seething anger exuding out of every pore. Doesn't that dumbass realize he's hurting himself too? she frustratingly thought to herself as she continued to run every which direction to stop the intense pain. It felt as if someone had slit a giant hole in her chest and dove their hands through, grasping and squeezing every internal organ she had. It was an agony she felt no one could imagine. Well, except James. Frankly, it was worse than dying. It was an experience that made the nine circles of hell seem like a reasonable feat. After 10 minutes of drunkenly sprinting she catches sight of a man clutching his chest against a car.

All her rage that was simmering inside her now exploded every direction as she yelled out to the man, "What the HELL do you think you're doing?" She continued to run as straight as she could to the man and WHAM!. She felt her curled fist make contact with his face as her right hook followed his chiseled jawline directly to the ground she put him in. "You are more of a child than I am. You know what happens when you cross the line too far? Does it make you feel good that I must run like a fucking pet to you? You child," she spat as she wiped the sweat that accumulated atop her cupids bow and surrendered thudding as her tailbone met the concrete alleyway. She laid there sprawled out catching her breath. "I hope that hurt," she looked towards James who was laying beside her, his hand placed gently on his face not agonizing in pain of the punch, but more so in disbelief as to what measures Lisé just took.

Even though she knew James could take such a punch, she wanted to imagine that it actually hurt him. Still stretched on the hard pavement, she asked him with her temper subsiding, "Did you take care of your business?" Before James could even utter a word, she heard a set of feet casually walking towards the two of them who were still laying out in the middle of the alley. I know that smell Lisé detected a sweet smell of molasses, carrots, coffee, and animal. "Great," she sighed, not even having the desire to stand up. As the footsteps got closer, she found the sun retreat behind a figure looming above her. Frost seemed to have a look of amusement and bewilderment across his features. "Well, well, have you decided to join the party with my roommate and I?" she sarcastically jested, shooting Frost a look of warning as he would now encounter one of the most twisted and dangerous person she had ever known.
