The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She could see the thoughtful expression on Frost's face and she had to take it as a good sign that her idea on putting together a database on Hunters wasn't so farfetched. Surely someone had to have thought about it before though. She hated thinking they had any disadvantage against the ones who thought to hunt them like prey. She refused to be a scavenger in the wild so there's no way she'd accept being a prey in the world of Were's and Hunters. He folded his arms across his chest in a way that would probably be stand offish to anyone else but Malia found him in this pose more often than not so she knew not to read too much into it. It was like his robot response while he got together his thoughts and feelings on a subject. He was patient, letting her get everything out there before he finally said that he would think on it a little more. He let her know that it worked though and that was a praise she caught. Her eyes widened for a second in surprise before she beamed and nodded. "Okay, great." She knew that was about the best it was going to get for now. He seemed determined to go back and rescue his mom which Malia was all for and she was assured that he was going to need her help either way cause she wasn't about to just up and let him go without giving her something to do to help anyway. She didn't know where he got the idea that she might be able to run the pack while he was absent but she wasn't about to let him down, no matter what he wanted from her. Then he challenged her, saying he can make the time to train her depending on how quickly she learns. She snorted, her eyes rolling as she lifted a brow at him. "I think you of all people know quickly I learn when determined enough. Who else do you know that went from never shifted before to pro in a little over a week, huh?" Her eyes lit up with daring before they changed the subject to dinner and whether she wanted to stay for it. She couldn't turn down teasing him a little about his vegetarian diet first before agreeing that she would stay. He took it all in stride though, saying they would find something for her. She grinned and followed him into the kitchen. As he gestured for her to take a seat at the table, she scowled momentarily as he started to look for something and glanced back at the table before walking over to him. "Are you planning on making my food too? Aren't you a little...squeamish about touching something you don't eat?" She wrinkled her nose. She wasn't sure how that worked but she just figured he thought meat was disgusting so why would he want to prepare it for her? Her mouth started salivating the minute he pulled out the pork chops. She could already smell the fresh blood in them. She licked her lips, watching as he put them on a pan. She reached out as if to touch them and gasped as the pan got hot. "Ow, are you trying to burn them? That hurts." She didn't understand the whole cooking thing. She put her finger in her mouth, sucking on the burn as she watched him cook the meat, staring at the pork chops like they might sizzle up in smoke at any minute. He distracted her by asking if she'd like to test out her theory next weekend though, her eyes instantly lighting up at the idea of a play date of sorts with her alpha. She grinned and nodded, her eyes glittering with mischief at the thought of toying with some poor Hunter. He said he could provide a disguise and get into their minds and her eyes widened in surprise. She didn't know his powers. She wondered if the Hunters knew more about them than she did. "Like fun. I'm in." |
