West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She was right, he knew that, those fears and concerns that stirred within her mind were logical and, when it came to them, perhaps entirely sensible. Tobias shifted slightly from his position, the man glancing over his shoulder to make sure that salesman had hardly made any effort to encroach back upon their space. The man vaguely aware that perhaps he should have taken that ring off before walking off to the side. Several members of that staff watching them closely as if they feared he might attempt to flee the store. Perhaps they had already heard about his less than.....pleasant usual self. It would hardly have surprised him in the least. For now however he drew his attention back to the woman whom rested against him. It was important, somehow, that Raven understand those desires she had once held could still be hers if she still desired them. That physical barrier she had so believed stood between them and the creation of their own family was no longer truly an obstacle. Their different species sure to provide a challenge to that reproduction and yet it was neither impossible nor unheard off for it to occur in any sense. If Raven still chose not to have children then so be it. Tobias assured he would and could be happy with just Raven alone and yet he so needed her to make that choice with all her options available before she did. Anything else would be near akin to lying.

That soft utterance that surely they couldn't be trusted with another life momentarily saw his own features frown, those same considerations of the logic of those choices returned to him then. He knew what she meant, at least in some capacity and yet he found his head shake all the same. Some part of him willing to deny that very fear if only because an almost instinctive part of himself held a greater belief in their species- in them. Was this not the role of a husband? To provide that very support when his soon-to-be wife found herself doubting her very instincts. Her head burying into his chest as if hiding her face might somehow allow her to hide from those realities. Tobias unable to prevent that small simper that found his lips even as that deep note off his voice found her all the same.

"Maybe he can't but I can and you can and if we are fair to him- he never brought harm to either of Nadya's children. Instinct for us is a powerful thing, especially when it comes to children. You need to have faith."
It was hardly that fear of harm, in the least, that so concerned him the most. Rather, it was those very roles and responsibilities that came with raising a child that bothered him. After all, he would hardly be present, not most of the time in the least, raising their son or daughter would be almost entirely Raven's task, along with the pack at large, Tobias hardly believing Tetradore and the others would leave such a job to Raven alone. He had some faith, perhaps, in his other half and his ability to protect what was his own and yet outside of that protection and that playfulness there would be little actual care provided in any sense. Raven set to play the role of single mother in one way or another. Her very words suggesting near that same fear as that sigh left his lips.

"I worry about those things too. He will always protect you and the baby and I think he might enjoy games but he will never really be able to help you look after it. Not like he should."

Those words fell silent again as Raven shifted, wrapping her arms about him as he let his chin rest gently atop her head in that affectionate embrace. That surprise finding him then at her sudden admittance she would be willing to do all those things, that she hardly feared rasing that child at least...eighty percent alone, rather those fears off what she might do- of what she had done- remained with her still. Tobias silent then as he considered those further things. His words slow and carefully chosen then.

"I think, truly, that instinct would stop you and if it didn't- Tetradore or I would. I understand the fear though I understand what it is like to feel unpredictable..."

He simply allowed those words to trail off knowing well that Raven would understand. The woman admitting to that desire for a family in the very same moments she admitted to that fear all at once. That fear of what could or might happen if they did manage to have a child at all. That kiss on his forehead seeing his features wrinkle in response. His own words quiet then.

"So do I and so am I but.....we don't have to decide anything here and now today. Why don't we get this ring and head home? Think about it and we can talk again, hmm?
