The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.
Bartender Raylin Chike
Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

He knew she must be weak and tired from everything that happened. He wanted to comfort her, to let her know that everything was going to be okay now. It killed him that she was alone but she was still his friend and he wanted her to be okay too. He could tell it took a lot for her to write out those sloppy instructions. He could see it in her eyes that she wanted him to go to Isolt, but he couldn't bear the thought of leaving her alone, no matter how badly he wanted to do just that. He couldn't leave her weak and vulnerable. He refused to endanger her again in order to save Isolt. He knew his fiance wouldn't want that. He bit his wrist, forgetting in that instant that Yumi didn't feed off blood like other vampires. He was so distraught himself that it didn't click until she started shaking her head and ran for the bathroom, all but fleeing from him like he had meant to hurt her. His eyes widened first in shock, then in realization as he sighed heavily and turned to the closed bathroom door. He walked up to it slowly, putting his hand on the door gently. "Yumi, I'm sorry. I forgot. I was only trying to heal you. I'm sure you need food. I...." He exhaled, biting his lip again as he tried not to yell or curse or throw something in his frustration like he wanted to but he knew that would only frighten her and that was the last thing he wanted to do. Looking down as he calmed himself, he looked at the door again. "I'm sure you want space so I'll go....but I'm not leaving you alone. I'll call someone and you can decide if you want to let them in or not." Stepping back, he stared at the door one last time, hoping that one day he can see Yumi smile again. Then he turned from the door and walked slowly out of the house. Once on the porch, he pulled out his phone. He scrolled down to Malek's name and sent a quick text. "Go to Yumi's house. Now." Sure that would get the vampire's attention, he sighed and walked to his car, going a little faster now as he pulled out the directions again. Okay, he could do this. He WOULD rescue Isolt. He glanced back at the house once more, his smile sad as he thought of Yumi. It only made him wonder what his fiance would look like when he found her. The idea made his knuckles turn white on the steering wheel as rage clouded his vision. Starting the engine, he roared onto the road and took off. Destination: Isolt. ............................................................................................. It didn't take him long to find the cavern system. He wasn't expecting it to be where it was. Of course, the one place he never though to check. But as he pulled up, he could make out the entrance and he was already seething with rage. This is where they'd been hiding his friend and fiance, right under his nose. He was pissed. He slipped out of the car and headed to the entrance at a long stride full of purpose. His eyes were already seeing red by the first glimpse he got of two witches just inside the door. They didn't stand a chance. Even as they saw him and gasped, he'd already sliced his finger across his throat, thereby slicing the throats of one of the witches right before he stuck his hand through the other's chest, gripping her heart and pulling it back from her chest where he then tossed it on the dirt behind him like it was trash. He didn't even pause, continuing on into the caves. They were all going to pay. |
