West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She was surprised the wolf hadn't shifted yet, knowing that there might be a confrontation. She knew she herself felt more comfortable fighting in her Were form, at least until she knew some fighting moves in her human form. All she really knew otherwise was that she could grip hard and throw hard. She'd probably be half shifting if it came down to it, just so she could have fangs to bite still and claws to rip and tear with. But she was happy enough to be in her Were form right now cause she was in her element. She had years of experience fighting like this. The wolf didn't seem as confident in her human form. Malia wondered if that was her usual nature or if it was because of her fighting confidence in this form. She knew in her Were form, the wolf was a creature to be reckoned with. She'd seen the wolf get as big as any good sized grizzly bear before. But she could smell a tension in the air and knew it came from the woman standing in the middle of the ring. Obviously she had good powers cause Malia had already seen her send a monkey flailing around the Ark and she'd stopped a piece of glass in mid-flight.

But apparently thats where her confidence ended. A voice rang out from the crowd and Malia followed the wolf's gaze. She didn't recognize the man so she looked back at the wolf, listenign as she gave instructions to get patrons out of the Ark. Malia rolled her eyes and growled under breath. They were in harm's way cause they came here to fight in a ring or watch. If they couldn't fight their way out, they were on their own as far as she was concerned. The wolf obviously had more morals than she did. Survival of the fittest was the way she'd always been taught. The wolf was wringing her hands and whimpering. Malia's ears flicked back to her skull, making a chuffing sound of dismissal to the wolf. If she couldn't handle this, then maybe she needed to go somewhere and get safe herself. Malia and Frost could handle this. She wasn't afraid of a fight. Her gaze swung to the large gorilla headed their way and she snarled, about to pounce but she saw the woman raise her hands and the gorilla lifted up. At first Malia thought she was just going to hold him there but then there was a satisfying crack of bone and the gorilla fell to the ground, dead.

Malia tilted her head at the wolf, thoroughly impressed. The monkeys around them didn't seem as thrilled about the prospect but then she wouldn't expect them to. They just lost a pack member, after all. But her respect for the woman went up a little at the display. Too bad the woman didn't seem to hold the same delight. She looked grief stricken, her human eyes wide as if she didn't mean to do it and Malia furrowed her brows, remembering the feral creature she met in the woods. Was that wolf still in there, the one that didn't like to talk and could tear a Hunter to shreds? When the orangutan asked about Frost, the woman laughed and Malia raised a brow, listening as she introduced Frost and herself. She made a disapproving chuffing noise at the mention of her being Frost's, as if she was a piece of property or something. She knew she was his pack member and he was her alpha but she was still her own person in her opinion. She didn't belong to anyone.

Of course she understood that the woman was just trying to talk the monkeys down from more violence by letting them know they were facing more than just her. But then she laughed again and this time it kept going, sounding less and less like a laugh and more like...well, a crazy laugh. Malia's ears pricked and then the woman shifted, her clothes ripping and fur sprouting. Malia curled her lips in a grin, obviously approving of this change of events. At least she knew what the wolf was capable of. The wolf grew right before her eyes and then a moneky fell onto her back. Malia snarled, ready to back her up but the wolf bucked the monkey off and pinned him beneath her paws. The wolf bit down on the baboon's neck then and Malia heard its breaths stop. Another death. Well, dang, she was getting all the fun. Malia poked her bottom lip out in a pout before turning on the other monkeys with a snarl, daring them to come at her. She wanted some action too!

She was sure Frost didn't really want to be a part of this and had only included himself thanks to her but she had no regrets. She hated to see a cheater and that's what Louie was. She had done the right thing and now the monkeys would pay for attacking. Besides, she knew deep down, Frost liked a good fight just as well as she did. She could sense a little tension between Frost and the woman but she had heard so much of the past between Tetradore's pack and Frost that it could have been anything. There were battles and deaths and torture sessions from what she'd been told but none of it seemed to be happening anymore so it wasn't her concern. She knew Frost would protect her and that's all that mattered. He proved as much when the monkey grabbed her and he kicked it off of her like it was nothing. She could have gotten out of it by teleporting or something but she was still grateful to her alpha. She curled her lips in a grin when Frost said he could teach her about the kick. She looked forward to it already.

Frost was looking around the Ark so she followed his gaze, taking in the mayhem going on all around them. Her eyes only lit up in eagerness to see all the fights breaking out. Plenty of opponents was all she saw. He looked at the woman in question as she laughed, almost concerned for her. Malia just figured maybe he never saw her as the feral wolf she met in the woods before. Maybe she didn't show that side of her very often. Malia herself just looked forward to it. It meant they had good back up should they need it. By the time she killed the baboon though, she could tell Frost was more approving of this side of her too. But that was about when that new energy found her, coiling up inside like a ticking bomb. Whimpering helplessly cause she knew it couldn't be good, she looked to her alpha for help and knew when he felt that tug. He told her she was in control and she forced herself to take deep breaths, trying to stay calm. When he asked her to hold onto it, she nodded, her eyes trained on him. Somehow, she would.

Then he mentioned stairs and she followed where he was pointing. He said he had an idea and though she was curious, she raised a brow and nodded before heading through the ropes he was holding open for her. She was surprised he jumped into the crowd with her, though she caught onto the name he yelled back to the wolf. So her name was Raven. She would remember that. Frost stayed right beside her, coaching her on holding in the power. She could feel it building up inside her but she was distracted by all the bodies pressing in on them, at least temporarily. Frost grabbed one and threw him out of their way before an orangutan came swinging but before she could grab him, Frost punched him in the side of the head and shook his hand. She looked up at him, one side of her lips curling in a smirk. "Wuss." She sent to him through their pack bond with a bark. It was obvious she was laughing at him.

He told her to bite legs and she growled in response. "With pleasure." She snappeda t a few and heard people and animals in turn scream or bellow in pain as ankles cracked and shins split as her teeth made contact. She wasn't holding anything back. It was taking too much of her self control to hold back the building energy so she couldn't risk letting go of that. Frost glanced back and she could only assume he was checking on Raven. Apparently everything must have been okay cause he looked back and grabbed a woman to throw her out of the way this time. Someone came rushing toward them, yelling something about them not being allowed to go up the stairs. She growled, stepping in front of Frost, ready to use her teeth to prove otherwise when she swiveled an ear back to hear him yelling at the man. He used authority in his tone and it seemed to be enough; the man rushing off to do as he said which left them a clear path.

She followed Frost's gaze as they went up the stairs, seeing Louie hanging out on a metal beam. Her own gaze narrowed into a glare and she snarled, her tail flicking behind her. When Frost turned to her, she pricked her ears and listened as he gave her direction. She felt for the power, though it wasn't hard to find. Yeah, it was definitely still there and building, threatening to spill over at any moment. She nodded along, trying to memorize his instructions. Force it outward, get it hotter. She glanced up as Frost yelled down to Raven about killing Louie and she chuffed in annoyance. She wanted to do some killing too. She raised a brow as Frost pulled his phone out, blowing a huff of annoyance. "Do you really need to be on your phone right now?" As his hand fell to her head though, she focused on the beam, sure that that meant he was about to give her the cue. She could lecture him about being on a stupid human device later.

And so it came. He told her to show them all and she nodded, closing her eyes as she concentrated. The minute her control pulled back, the surge came out, a round ball of energy forming around her before it pushed toward that beam and then exploded, the beam breaking easily as it fell with the screaming orangutan right toward the ring. She kept her eyes closed, hearing the screams and carnage as everyone turned to see the explosion. She could feel the air from outside and knew there was at least one hole in the Ark. She cringed a little at the thought of how Tetradore would handle that. The explosion continued to build though and beams started falling. Next thing she knew, the ground beneath her feet crumpled and disappeared and she was falling.
