West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

After all, we never played by the rules;

We were chasing the thunder inside the storm;

It hardly phased Mira by the way she was being viewed by those men, even if right this moment it was more like gawking. Maybe they hadn't gotten the memo that she was not dead. Well then, surprise. She knew how they viewed her in that pack and no matter how many tails she had sent in between their legs, they still only saw her as a piece of ass. She had gotten over being irked by that so very long ago, she had no qualms using that very point of view to her advantage. It also made their submission that much better. It was the only way Mira had survived all those years within that pack, by clawing her way to the very top. She hated the fighting, even when she was good at it. It became a necessity, a second nature built into her. They couldn't mess with her when she was as top dog as she could get, even though it didn't stop the looks, or those comments, or stop Negan's lusting eyes.

It was so very painfully clear that any rouse that worked before to prove that Mira was 'dead' it was destroyed now. If it weren't for the comfort of knowing that most likely, these men would be blasted into nothing but a million pieces she would have been more concerned. Not in front of them, no, she could not let them see her sweat. Hell, maybe she should have been far more worried than she was. So much the seamless mission and yet, if she could turn back time. Would she stay behind, knowing what she knew now? Most certainly not. She knew Tetradore could keep his own hide safe, she knew he was fully capable of getting that money on his own. But it felt wrong to see him to trudge toward the battlefield alone. She could not allow it, so long as she could help it.

Even with the mission staring at them in the face, he made his point loud and clear in that very dominant gesture. That very innate and animalistic language that every single wolf in this room could understand. She was not one of them anymore. It was enough to cause the tension within the room to rise, her presence was only making matters worse. She could even feel that tension within the alpha next to her. Made her mind think about how that possession in his eye over her made her feel. It was the worst possible time and yet. Tetradore somehow managed to steer that conversation back to business. But the tension in the room hardly got any better. She would not be the reason that made this plan fall apart at the seams. As much as she didn't seem to mind that possessive way in which he staked his claim, the way he seemed to want to show them what a true alpha could do. If it were anyone else she was positive her teeth would be at their throat before they could even bat an eyelash. But if she didn't do something, there was the possibility this would turn into an all-out brawl. Mira was no fool to miss that.

So the exotic fiery woman chose the best option was to make sure those bombs were in place. She excused herself, slipping away before anyone could say a thing. That was when she heard those muttered words with that exceptional hearing of a wolf. That comment of her looks like she was some trophy to be won. A damn piece of meat like those whores at their laps. The thought struck that familiar thread of anger, almost immediately triggering that heat creep beneath her skin. No, she would not lose it with an arm full of explosives. Her lipped curled in a fashion that was all too canine before she pushed on through the boat to its very heart. Carefully planting those bombs at the most vital places first, making sure they were concealed. She worked quickly placing at least two at the heart of the boat, the engine. Mix that with gasoline and well that would leave a lasting impression, if they were alive long enough to notice. The rest she placed on outer walls and places she imagined the structure would be compromised. Not a damn soul to bump into, it was all going so well. Too well.

However, it didn't take long before her presence was seemingly missed and one of those men came sniffing. That familiar face that seemed to cause the most unrest within Tetradore. The mocking face of that wolf she knew. She felt no apologies when she made the man shut up from that inflicted pain. It always seemed to be the loudest of the group that went down the fastest, this man proved to be no different. He went down hard and cried out, shit, she hoped it wasn't too loud of a noise and jeopardized her feline companion. She needed to get back so they could get the hell out of here. What if Tetradore considered the risk too great and left? She didn't believe that he would but she wouldn't blame him. She gave that sandy haired smug prick one last kick in between his legs so the next time he dared to think of her he would remember that pain instead of lust and disrespect. That sickening popping sound was just for her when she crushed that sensitive area was enough to make her cringe. He blacked out, but she knew it wouldn't be long before he came to. So she took off down the corridor, moving as quickly as she could, her feet cautious to not make another sound that would draw another to her.

When she returned, the scene did not seem any better whatsoever. In truth it was worse, much worse. Of course, it had went to shit. Of course, something must have set them off. The men had already shifted and were snarling, already ready to encircle and descend upon Tetradore. Oh yes, lets not forget the gun aimed right for her alpha's head. Undoubtedly, they were silver bullets. Just how close could she get without them noticing. She was forced to slow her pace, golden eyes falling upon the largest threats, the man with the gun and those wolves. When her eyes returned, the hunter had already pulled out another gun with a speed that was entirely impressive if she weren't on the receiving end. Shit.. This made inching toward Tetty that much harder. She took a breath, eyeing those savage looking wolves without a hint of worry. They were the easy threat, she knew how they would attack, their weaknesses. It was the hunter with the gun and she had no weapon to pull on him. Except for the fact that she could have easily become a weapon. But before he could shoot? She wasn't that confident she could. All she needed was a second to grab his hand and then they could be out of here. However, she wasn't going to risk his life to do so, she had to play this smart. Her eyes seemed to flicker, that lava seeming to peer out of those golden hued eyes, glowing vibrantly.

Ethan's smug words made her almost shift right then and there...So much for playing arm candy, it was useless at this point anyways. There was no cover to even try to preserve. Maybe Ethan needed to learn what these teeth could do to him, since they sure as hell weren't working for him. Even if Negan somehow stole her back, even then she would play nice anymore. Anyone who chose to align themselves with that prick deserved a fate worse than death. All they needed was a distraction, one where she could claim that moment and they could vanish within those shadows and be whisked away into that freefalling ether.

A foolishly impromptu idea flashed within her head, she wasn't exactly sure how the telepathy worked with the pack but it was worth a shot. With her old pack, it was always used as a one-way walkie talkie for Negan to bark orders. "Not sure if this thing is on.. but I may have a plan.. go with it." She spoke mind-to-mind to Tetty, feeling that line that linked them together and focusing on it, hoping that's all she needed to do.

However, the woman hardly thought this plan out fully. All she could do was focus on the fact there was a gun to both their heads and they couldn't kill her. If they wanted her. They could have her, but not him. She raised her hands trying to look as harmless as possible, hoping they didn't notice she no longer had the duffel bag or any other weapon. "Fine.. if its me you want, take me. But let him go." She sounded surprisingly composed, easily navigating through that stress that would cause most to crumple. She was careful to emphasize the word go, a silent message to Tetty to get out of dodge. Despite the lava that caressed and threatened to press and push against her skin. Well, she hoped it was more like stalling but she would do it if she had to. She made a promise to her alpha after all, a promise she intended to keep. This whole mission went sideways because of her, she would fix it. "You don't want to know what hell I will unleash you if harm a single hair on his head." It was a risk saying those words as she looked the hunter dead in the eye, before those eyes fluttered to Tetradore's face. Slowly, leaning toward him. All she had to do was grab his hand and they both could be free, but if not she would not suffer the consequences without making them feel the volcano that lay beneath her skin.

That was when she heard an ambling thud and what sounded like her name cursed distantly from an enraged man's lips. So, sunshine woke up. She had to fight a small grin that threatened to form upon her plush lips. Now would have been the perfect time for Tetradore to whisk away. But it was very clear he wasn't going anywhere, at least no without her. She caught the vibrant emerald in his eyes eyes as she tried to give him a pleading look to get the hell out of here. But it was to no avail. Something within him shifted. His eyes became pure, chilling apathy as he turned to face the rest of the room. Something shifted within the man, something that was almost terrifying. Something in him that she hadn't seen before. Oh shit, she hoped that look didn't mean he was going to be stupid and play the hero.

But then there was a sudden chill to the room, the very lights began to flicker, dimming slightly. What the hell was happening. She couldn't even feel him through the bond, nothing as though he severed himself from everything. He was nothing but power.

A stifling energy seemed to roll right off of him as though it wasn't in short supply. He was an unyielding and terrifying force. In that moment, Mira even found it hard to breathe. Something was going down but she wasn't quite sure what. But it sure as hell wasn't good. Confusion sparked within her eyes before it happened. The wolves began to whine as though they were in pain, she could smell their fear within the thick tangible atmosphere. What the hell? Every last one of them looked absolutely terrified. Including Ethan, he made the most pitiful high pitched sound that nearly had he laughing.. if she knew what the hell was happening.

Then Tetradore acted quickly, reaching for her hand in a moment that she could hardly register. Subconsciously, she was prepared as she reached for him as though aware of this small moment of time they had to act. It was the sound of the gunshot that made her heart stop, that made her anticipate that sharp pain of a bullet. That loud, sharp sound of the detonation. One second it was loud, the next it was muffled. She swore she could smell the hint of gunpowder in the air, she hadn't even realized her eyes were closed as if bracing for impact. There was no way she could block that bullet, cloud stop those moments from happening. The only thing that called back was the familiar falling feeling, the wooshing and being pulled every which way. Only now, it was a welcomed feeling. Tetradore's hand was everything in that moment. That split fraction of a moment.

When she opened her eyes, they were no longer on that boat, but onto the peaceful confines of that blissful ship. She found herself fighting for breath, breathing in that fresh nighttime air and soaking in that open starry sky. The water looked inky black now, the silvery moon bright and reflected distortedly within the waves of that vast ocean. She found herself close to him now, looking up at those once apathetic eyes. That breath became a warm exhale of disbelief. Woah. That was.. well a strange turn of events. He didn't look shot, she checked and clearly, she would have felt getting hit by a bullet. "Are you ok?" She asked, she needed to hear him speak. She felt him pull away suddenly, preparing the boat to leave. She felt wired, exhilaration flooding within her.

Tetradore moved quickly and deftly to the lever to hoist the anchor back. He explained how they had two minutes before the explosives when off and the mention of police. Yes, she didn't want to get tangled up with police and neither did he. She placed a hand on the side of the boat to brace herself, preparing for it to jolt forward. There was no coaxing the boat gently to full speeds, it roared like a beast, its nose lifting before it evened out as they flew across the water, far away. She was filled with excitement, bewilderment. She wondered if he felt it too.

Then suddenly, almost far too soon than she was prepared, she jumped at the sound from a loud explosion. The sky lit up in orange and red light as that fire reached for the heavens, she could practically feel that heat from here. Her eyes lit up, matching that mushroom explosive fire glow. She looked at it in awe, her face alight from its glow, this was better than any night she could have had on her own at the ark. She couldn't help the laughter that escapes her, pleased by her own placements of those explosives. She moved to the back of the boat, grinning, getting a better view. "Adiós.." She said definitively to the boat or whatever was left in flames, before peering at Tetradore. Those thoughts and worries that Negan knew she was alive pushed to the far back of her mind for now. She would deal with that when it came time.

"That was awesome!" She ran a hand through her hair mesmerized by that glow, that black smoke melting within the black sky. She could hear the distant sound of sirens and she felt content and free. "I can't believe the looks on their faces when you did that.. thing.. All I smelt was fear and then we were gone. What was that?" Mira asked curiously, her attention draw to that destructive glow while he drove further and further away. It was beautiful, and then another loud bang caused yet another explosion. She swore she could see the debris in the distance showering the water, soon there was not a ship to be seen on that horizon. She laughed, despite herself, grinning with mischief in her eye. Well she couldn't say tonight was boring.

I'd rather be dangerous;

MIRA RAMOS
