West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

so why'd you have to rain on my parade?

I'm shaking my head. I'm locking the gates.

Samantha stood just out of the parents' way, watching as the children in the room followed along with Nadya as she moved through the hip hop steps. Samantha couldn't contain her smile as she watched. The children's emotions seemed to fill the place with joy and admiration for their teacher, and Samantha could see exactly why they felt that way. Nadya had been an excellent teacher at the burlesque (even though Samantha herself had ended up being a hopeless case). The routines there were graceful and sexy at the same time. Nadya had been able to naturally move to those movements as though they were a part of her. But this... this hip hop class seemed to be exactly what Nadya was made for.

Samantha's smile was big as she watched the children copy the movements of their teacher, and even though Nadya critiqued them gently, there was nothing but love in the children's gaze as they attempted to do exactly what Nadya asked of them. Nadya flourished in this environment, and the fae couldn't help but be ecstatic for her. She resisted the urge to clap her hands together at the end of the class, though she was sure she'd gush to Nadya in a few moments exactly how pleased she was with her new business. Samantha pressed herself further against the wall as the children reunited with their parents. Though it was the question from one of the children that had Nadya's gaze locking with Samantha's. She saw the confusion in the girl easily, and Samantha was first to break the gaze.

Samantha remained silent, though still in her position as the woman herded the children and their parents out of the studio. It was only when they were all gone that Samantha got any of her attention. The Fae Queen let out a breath as she felt the weight of Nadya's gaze on her. Nadya had been so important to her once (and truthfully, still was). She'd given her a job and then promoted her though she hardly deserved it. She'd trusted her with the business and her children, and Samantha had betrayed her all by bringing harm to her brother and abandoning the business and their friendship.

Samantha was growing used to the line of questioning that came from Nadya. It had been Dorian's first question too, and she could hardly fault anyone for it. "I missed home," Sam replied gently. "And I learned what I needed to learn while I was away." She had, after all, spent the past two years honing her powers and abilities. She swallowed. "Do you think we can talk?" She asked. She had so much to explain.

Samantha sat down in one of the chairs, waiting for Nadya to do the same before she looked up once more. "I should have told you about what happened with Frost. I was warned by everyone, and this paranoia that I had just took over. I had so much trauma that I hadn't dealt with, and he played into that. And I let him. It was naive and stupid, and I'm well aware of that now. And have moved to make sure nothing like that happens again."

After all, she refused to fall victim to anything like what had happened with Frost again. "I thought Aiden was dead and I thought it was my fault. And I realize... things weren't what they seemed. I don't understand it at all, but I... I am so sorry I left. I abandoned the burlesque. And you, and the twins. I..." She looked up. "Nadya, I'm so sorry. I handled it all wrong. Can you ever forgive me?"

this is why we can't have nice things
