That very question of just who had drawn upon Alexis' face had caught the boy off guard entirely. Tobias so hardly having anticipated that he might be queried upon that very thing. That question seeming to prompt no small amount of consideration from within the lanky leopard as he seemed to mull over that very idea within the confines of his mind. He understood that question, to be sure, yet just whom to blame for that travesty remained to be seen. Alexis, after all, had seen several staff members already. She would know it had surely not been one of them as they tried to conceal their amusement. Tetradore too, was already back within his office, Alexis unlikely to believe her own Alpha had drawn upon her face. Tobias, in turn, unwilling to frame his best friend when Tetra might surely punish him for it. That curious pattern of considerations so resulting in the lanky deviant having but one target left to blame. Tobias so blatantly and suddenly insisting that culprit was none other then his own wife. That Raven was, surely, out of control when it came to drawing upon other peoples faces and that he had so bravely tried to prevent her doing as such. Tobias offering that near dramatic sigh in turn as if this somehow, improved the validity of his very argument. The boy doing little more then attempting to mimic those facial features and words of those around him when they were forced to admit to something. Tobias nothing if not a shameless mimic. One so attempting to prove his veritable innocence.
Those fathomless dark eyes remained upon Alexis then. Tobias near carefully watching her very features for any indication she had believed that very tale he had so cleverly spun. Tobias assured she a story was entirely foolproof. His ability to perceive the notion that Raven was perhaps the least likely to have committed that offense remained to be seen. The gangly deviant so merely anticipating that Alexis would accept that tale without question and, in turn, merely storm back off to her room to clean her face. The young woman's sudden insistence that she intended to confront Raven- and bring Tetradore along- readily saw Tobias' gaze widen. That momentary look of panic dancing but briefly upon his features as he struggled to conceal it once more. Raven, he was sure, would be terribly cross with him. Tetradore equally as likely to be unhappy. Tobias so struggling to organise that complex series of thoughts within his mind as Alexis brushed passed him only to insist she was going to find Raven.
"Pretty, no!"
That shout so seemed to leave his lips near suddenly. Tobias momentarily blinking in surprise at his own outburst. Alexis sure to be staring toward him now as he seemed to debate that very notion all the more. Those dark eyes meeting Alexis' again.
"Birdie and....Tetra are....not here."
That such a thing was distinctly untrue so hardly seemed to occur to him. Tobias, after all, had only moments ago so been determined to find Tetradore within his office himself. The deviant so abruptly becoming aware of the scope of his own lies. The boy appearing distinctly displeased with the entire situation as a whole. Alexis so hardly appearing to believe him.
"Pretty....look!"
One hand so suddenly lifted, Tobias, in that moment, oblivious to the notion he had lifted the hand with the marker pen within it to point behind Alexis then. The boy waiting only so long as it took Alexis to turn and glance toward that very thing he had pointed at behind her- only for the lanky deviant to pivot upon his heels and flee. Tobias tearing up that hallway and stairs to disappear in a flurry of movement somewhere outside. Tobias, it seemed, far more inclined to flee the veritable scene of the crime.
"I don't suffer from my insanity.
I enjoy every moment of it.
