She definitely hadn't expected to take on the title of savior tonight, she guessed it was part of her job description. Most of the time, she got to the bad guys before there was any victims to save or the victim was long gone by the time she was done with them. She should have known it would be different tonight, because she was supposed to be lying low and not standing out. The man continued to howl and roll. Kat rolled her eyes, turning to walk off when she heard the shuffling behind the dumpster on the other end. At first, her hopes rose, thinking the other guy had come back for a fight. So imagine her disappointment when the woman who was previously being held against the wall came out into the dim light. She looked nervous, looking between Kat and the man still rolling around on the ground. But finally she stepped around him and her demeanor seemed to lighten up. She sounded overjoyed as she spoke to Kat, calling her amazing. The Dark Hunter scowled thoughtfully at the compliments, instead using her powers to scan the woman across from her. So she was a fairy and she could manipulate blades. Kat couldn't help but smirk. If only she knew how many of those the Hunter had on her person at this very moment. Of course, she could manipulate them, too, so that would be a interesting showdown. For a moment, she wondered who would win. But then the woman spoke again, asking if she could escort her. Kat searched her features for a moment, trying to figure out more, but of course, her powers could only do so much. Finally, she nodded with a sigh of surrender. "Sure, guess I could do that. Not much going on tonight, it would seem." The disappointment was obvious in her voice about the last part as she fell into step with the woman. "Do you make it a habit to walk the streets alone at night? Don't you know that's the best time for vampires?" A brow arched up as she glanced over at the woman to hear her answer. |
