West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

I can see the large feline is satisfied with herself as the men scatter but as she turns to me, she scents the air and her ears start twitching. I know that I must smell strongly of fear but it just comes naturally to me after living so long in its shadow. I have never met another Were before besides the other Werefoxes of my pack. I knew they existed but I was never out unless to steal from others and do so, I had to wait until they were not around. Seeing this large feline before me is frightening and I don't know yet if she means harm to me. Most would instantly see what she did as chivalrous and be thanking her on hands and knees right now but I don't find it easy to trust others and a word of thanks might lead to my own demise if I move too quickly.

I know nothing about this Were and her motives. I don't know why she did what she did. Was it to save me or for another reason? Was she just trying to mark her territory or perhaps just in the mood to cause some fear? It might not have had anything to do with me at all. It's hard to tell how much humanity a Were still has at first meeting, especially when said Were is still in their shifted form. How am I to know that she's not just in hunting mode and I'm next on the menu? I gulp at the thought.

The Were seems content now that the men are gone, yawning to show her big teeth before she stretches out and falls off of the dumpster, landing neatly on her feet. I can see that she's trying to show me that she means no harm and so I try to relax, exhaling in a deep breath as I try to get my breathing under control. It doesn't look like the Were is going to shift back though I don't blame her. Most Weres are more affective in their shifted form since they usually have ready made weapons at their disposal, depending on their form. I don't blame for not wanting to be vulnerable in front of a stranger. Instead she looks expectant as if waiting for something but I don't know what.

At one point, she looks away from me to the buildings behind me and I wonder what she's thinking about. Are there others like her out there somewhere in the rooftops? Will they come by to see what she's doing? What will they think of me? Will they be less humble? When she moves closer to me, I stiffen again but try harder to keep my breathing under control. When she stops, I can barely make out the spots on her coat beneath the black. She is a gorgeous creature, for sure. Again she looks at me expectantly so I clear my throat and try for words.

"I'm sorry....thank you for that. I just...I'm not used to seeing other Weres....other species, that is. I'm new in town and I was looking for a place to sleep for the night..."

My voice trails off, unsure if the jaguar is getting the answer she desires or if she even cares for what I have to say. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
