Netflix and Chill. It was something he had heard others talk about, but he couldn't recall the meaning. At least, he didn't know the alternative meaning. If he had been aware than it meant hooking up, he would have kindly slashed that idea. Ashton had never been with anyone. The closest to a home run he had come was a single kiss. He'd never made out, never engaged in foreplay, and never actually hooked up with a girl. "Yeah, sure...if you want." If all she wanted was to simply watch Netflix (oh how naïve he was!), then he would do so in a heart beat.
He ran his hand through his hair as he contemplated how to answer her question honestly. "Dating means we hold hands...share dinner together, go on outings around the city, and we kiss goodnight. Dating is how we determine if we want to be lifelong partners." Dating would help to determine if she was the right woman for him and he the right man for her. Dating would bring up hard discussions like her desire for children. Dating was a time for them to get to know one another on a level far more intimate than friends.
He stepped forward to her, waiting patiently for her to decide if she too wanted to date him too. Hand brushed back a stray strand of hair, his fingers brushing over her temple in a loving fashion. "So what do you say?" His eyes searched hers, hoping she'd say yes.
