West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

The more time I spent with the thief, the more I could tell that she wasn't just a run of the mill pickpocket. She wasn't a bad person and she didn't take because she could. Otherwise she wouldn't even care about letting me give the man his wallet back. In fact, she would have already run away from me or threw it over a bridge or something. At least I got a smirk out of her when I made the joke about a bookmark. She handed the wallet back, telling me how her father kept a picture to remind him why he worked so much. "He sounds like a good man." The woman, Nadya as she called herself, repeated my name and I couldn't help the way it made my lips quirk to hear her saying it, like she was trying to memorize it. She said that was one way of returning the wallet when I gave her my options and I shrugged a little. "Better than a face to face. I may be trying to do the right thing, but he's still a little too punchable for my liking and that might not end well."

I couldn't help but be surprised when she offered coffee though. A single brow quirked before I gave a nod. "Sure, I could use some coffee." When she pulled the cash out of her shirt, I couldn't help but chuckle. "I take it back. Maybe you should keep the wallet. Looks like you need one."
