West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Black Market

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Leo had mixed feelings leaving his family's pack to come explore Sacrosanct. It felt like they had been stuck in a dark cloud. His father's health had started to fail and then a neighboring pack had taken the opportunity to attack leading to an all out war. When it had all been said and done, his older brother was put up as the new Alpha which had changed their relationship. It had always been different between them as they both grew up knowing he would one day be the one to take over the pack but it felt...different now. Darius was like a completely different person and it caused a rift between them. It had actually been their mother who suggested Leo take some time away, clear his head, and gain some of his own independent experiences of the world.

Sacrosanct had been the chosen destination and even though he hadn't been able to get a hold of Nadya he had still set out. Leo figured he'd just find her when he got there...couldn't be too hard. At least that had been the plan when he first planted his feet from the bus to the city ground. It didn't take much asking around to learn where the King of the West was or rather Aiden Tetradore as Leo knew him as from Nadya. Though he knew of Nadya's biological brother, he had never met the man, but Leo figured if anyone knew where Nadya was that it would be Aiden.

After dropping his single duffel bag off at a nearby hotel, the young man made his way to the docks at the edge of the West to the luxury ship that others had pointed him to. Leo nodded in greeting to the hispanic man acting as doorman as he crossed that threshold into the bowels of the ship. He had never been on a boat before and although he wasn't a stranger to fighting, he had never been around a fighting ring. It was nothing like the human fight rings you saw on tv either. The young man weaved slowly through the crowd towards the bar even as he kept an eye on that slightly raised and caged platform that two fighters were entering. Keen eyes picked up the commotion ringside of money passing hands. Interesting. Although he was sure this wasn't exactly what his mother had in mind by worldly experience...he was intrigued.

Leo slid onto an empty barstool and didn't have to wait long for the bartender to slide over. "Sazerac please." His gaze slid back to the ring where the fighters had begun as the bartender set to work on the drink. Only a few moments of the fight were spent in human form before flesh melted away to reveal animal forms. "Here you are." The bartender's worse drew Leo's attention back. "Thanks." He took the glass in hand, "You wouldn't happen to know where Aiden Tetradore is?" The bartender quirked a brow, glancing up briefly at the empty seats above the ring where the owner of the establishment usually perched, before shaking his head. "Do you have business with him? I can send someone to find him." Leo shrugged, shook his head, and took a sip of his drink. "Nah, it's alright...Can anyone join those?" He tilted his head in indication to the cage to which the bartender nodded. "Yeah, the organizer is over by the door." "Thanks." He downed the rest of his drink before leaving the barstool to wander back through the crowd to the cage. His sister was a grown woman and could wait. As soon as Leo disappeared into the crowd though the bartender was on the phone calling up to Tet's office to let him know of some stranger asking around for him.

The fight within the ring was coming to an end and bets placed were being collected with the winners cheering and losers groaning in defeat. The young man skirted the fencing around the ring to where the overseer was letting out the previous fighters. "What are the rules?" He questioned, glancing between the empty stained ring and the man in front of him. The overseer took one look up and down at Leo before shrugging with a smirk, "There's only one- don't kill your opponent. You start in human form and when you hear the bell then switch to your animal. Ever been in a ring before?" "No, but I've fought where there were no rules." Leo answered easily even as the memories of the war flickered through his mind. People who saw him still saw a boy, built as he may be but young nonetheless, and yet he'd seen the horrors of war and tasted the blood of others just as any twice his age. One more glance was afforded his frame before the overseer nodded and gestured for Leo to get in. "Suit yourself." Leo gave a small lop-sided grin, shrugging off his shirt, and kicking off his shoes before loping past him into that giant caged arena.

It was quite exhilarating being within the ring with the overwhelming smell of grit and blood along with the sound of the rowdy crowd. The crowd was hurriedly placing their bets upon seeing the other man who strode into the ring as Leo's competition. Leo gave his opponent the obligatory nod, his stance light as he waited for the signal to begin. He knew the main thing he'd be accounting for is the size of his Were form. As a Liger he could be slower than other species but could pack a hell of a wallop in return. Best to weaken his opponent as much as possible before the Shift. He gave a mental nod at his plan just before hearing the bell signaling the start of the match. Immediately his senses became honed on his opponent, gauging every movement and countering accordingly. It was like old times and the adrenaline that coursed through him with each dodge and punch fueled that elation the young man held.
