The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Frost said I should unwind a little, so that was what he meant, right? Scrunching up my nose, I took in the neon glow before me. Music thumped away from inside and I could practically smell the sweat and vomit. Wait, no....I could definitely smell it. Turning my head, I could see the source bent over in some bushes to my left. She was still retching pretty good and I reminded myself not to drink anything she did while I was in there. Oh, they should have the good fruity stuff though! Excited about my prospects, I looked down at my outfit. I picked the shorted skirt I could find and a tank top that showed my stomach. That was the trend now, right? I was going by pictures I saw in magazines of other girls dancing and living it up. They looked like they were having fun so maybe if I wear the same thing, I'll have fun too. It should work. I couldn't make the heels work though so I had to settle for flats. They'd be a lot easier to dance in anyway. Heels are soooo hard to walk in. I don't know how Frost does it on those things he calls hooves when he's in his other form. Not nearly as coordinated-looking as paws and proper toes, if you ask me. I marched up to the door, but the bouncer wasn't being very nice. He told me to wait in line. Can you believe that? I turned my head to look down the super long formation of people that seemed to sweep around the block before turning back to him with a shake of my head. "Uh uh, that doesn't work for me. You see, I want to go in there TONIGHT. I need to loosen up, dance and party. I can't do that from way back there. Ka-pesh?" Putting a hand on my hip, I gave him my best "duh" look. It wasn't working though. "You're going to have to wait in line just like everyone else...ka-pesh?" He mocked me as he leaned in with a little sneer, having way too much fun with himself. Snorting, I put my hand on the wall next to him and leaned in just enough so that I might be blocked from view of the other people in line. Right on cue, my eyes burned a brilliant blue and I sneered back at him, showing my extended fangs as my suddenly long sharp nails tapped on the wall beside his head. "But I'm not LIKE everyone else...got it?" I growled the last words, hoping to send my point home. And it worked! The man jerked back with fear in his eyes and stepped a few steps away, gesturing wildly at the door. "You can...yep...y-you should...you.." He continued to yammer and not make a whole lot of sense but I took the hint, forcing my shift back as I gave him a normal grin and skipped through the entrance with a small wave. "Thanks!" I could hear the groans and cursing from the other bystanders in line as I made my way inside but I could care less what he had to deal with out there. The important part was that I had made it. I was in! Now let the fun begin! Bodies jostled together to the tangled web of the music. There was hardly room to breathe, let alone dance, but I took it all in with fervor. This was AWESOME! |
