The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

I wait by the tree in the park. This could turn into our usual meeting spot if I'm not too careful but I don't mind. Isolt seems to like her own space and if that includes me not knowing where she lives then fine, I'll deal with that for now. Maybe some day I can persuade her to give me a little tour. She did after all get to see the whole inside of my house. It's only fair. But tonight it's not about seeing each other's houses. Tonight it's about celebrating our coven and the booming business at the pub. I think Isolt is more surprised than I am when it comes to how good business has been at Red on the Water. As if she could doubt my business savvy. This isn't my first rodeo. But I won't say I told you so. I'm going to treat her in style tonight. I found out about this little watering hole out of the way among the many warehouses and they offer a certain delicacy I think Isolt hasn't gotten the chance to experience just yet. As a master of many of her firsts as a vampire, I'd like to own as many as possible and this will be added to the roster. I have that secret smirk on my face as I lean against the pole, letting the single street light send a dim glow onto the bench beside me. There was a young lady sitting there a moment ago but I think she got creeped out by me standing here so she got up and left. Oh well, it's not like I was going to eat her or anything. Not tonight anyway. I look up only when I see her familiar red hair, my smirk widening as my blue gray eyes twinkle as only she can make them do. I bow at her approach. "Ready for your surprise, my lady?" I ask teasingly, straightening up and offering her my arm as any gentleman would. I'm feeling quite well tonight. I got a good feeding out of the way last night and I do look forward to these little special occasions binges because I can't count the last time I've had any myself. But tonight, I'm going to enjoy it even more because Isolt is with me. She always seems to be make everything better. I glance over at her, wondering how she's been faring. Afte rhte whole running over a wereserpent thingy and finding those magical gloves that were apparently special to her, I just want to make sure she's holding up okay. I offer a softer expression. "So how's your week been? Learn anything new? Make any new friends?" Call me nosy but I like knowing what's going on in her life. |
