there are as many truths as stars in the sky, and everyone of them different
perhaps that is the only real truth
It was a risky move to align herself with creatures of the supernatural, even if she was one. She wasn't altogether knowledgeable about other species, having only learned a vast store of information about weres from having built up the courage to proposition those on the Ark for a place to sell her potions. Most of them were not bad, preferring a more animalistic lifestyle. Their choice, but she prided herself on her control over her own emotions. How strange must it be to always feel so out of tune with the world. She knew even less about vampires and while he grinned at her in that mischievously evil way a curiosity burned within her. It would take not feeling as if she was about to be bled out before she would pester him, that was for sure, but Sorcha was a woman who needed to know things. Who thrived on learning. Some questions could simply not be ignored.
For now her expression is hardened. She is ready for whatever may come, the ground trembling beneath her, eager to respond to the slightest desire for her. It was oddly empowering. It had been so long since she had summoned forth the life force of the earth, preferring subtler arts of potion making to the elemental magic. There wasn't much use for it anymore, not in a city at least, but it was a relief to know that it was still there. That she could still protect herself, even if it was not as effective as some powers.
A doubtful expression crosses her face, her lips pursing slightly as she stares him down but gradually the trembling subsides. It was true - he could have already killed her and been done with it. That meant nothing though since there were always those who enjoyed playing with their prey. Still, it is his next words that capture her attention and perks her up, her eyes flaring with a sort of excitement. "You are in the business of such things?" She says in a sort of flippant manner, unsure if he is screwing with her again, but he pulls out a business card and she takes it from him with a quick snip of her hand before staring at him. Anacosta Heights - not surprising considering his tailored outfit. She grins suddenly, amused by the situation, although she does not enlighten him to her thoughts.
"I'll drop by soon then," she says, that secretive smile once more on her face. It seemed as if she would soon be mixed up in not only Were affairs but vampire ones as well - her business was expanding rapidly. "I have to go now. Don't go getting your suit all dirty on this side of town, Daerios, it's hard to get blood stains out!" Ah, a little vampire humor, and with that she grins at him (rather stricken with her good fortune), waves, and saunters off towards the Ark.
