Born in a small village in Norway, Bjørn's life began as any normal human's would. His parents instilled in him a love for nature and animals, which was useful in his farm work. "Respect the creatures and they will respect you." became the mantra of Bjørn. The years passed by and Bjørn lived a happy, but unfulfilling, life. For years, he would look at the woods that surrounded the family's farm, feeling like his destiny lay within their dark depths. It did. In August of 1922, Bjørn heard an animal crying out in distress. It lead him into the woods. The scene he stumbled across shocked him, a tall, thin woman was using a silver sword to try and fight off fight a large Eurasian lynx. Something felt off about the situation but, when the lynx pounced on the woman, Bjørn sprung into action. Long legs pulled him forward and, before his brain could catch up with his body, the man slammed all his weight into the lynx's side. The cat turned on Bjørn, its eerily familiar eyes oozing hate as it lept on the man. Blood sprayed into the air as the man crumpled to ground, sharp claws rending flesh asunder as Bjørn cried out in pain. Everything became blurry as the cat's claws sunk deep into the man's throat. Everything began to fade as his blood spilled out onto the ground. The woman, Ingrid, regained her footing and slayed the were-lynx, eyes falling on the dying man that had saved her. Ingrid set about stemming the overwhelming flow of blood, while Bjørn was no longer aware of the world around him. Stitches were applied but, without a supplement of blood, Bjørn would pass to the afterlife. A debt to repay, life was given from the life that was saved. Warmth returned to the cold body and Bjørn breathed anew, the hunters dark blood now flowing through his veins. Ingrid took Bjørn under her wing, teaching him how to wield weapons as an extension of his body. Years passed and Bjørn did not grow old. Family died and still Bjørn did not grow old. A century has passed and life still goes on. Will Bjørn ever find happiness?
