Hannes was born in Vík í Mýrdal, Iceland. His parents own a small but successful Icelandic horse farm. His paternal family is extremely traditional with both his dad and grandfather being Norse neopagans hunters, while his maternal family are wealthy humans based in Reykjavik. Hannes was usually shuffled into the city once or twice a year to visit his grandparents, but his preference is to be able to live a quiet life farming.
