LOVE IS IN THE AIR! So long as it's kept to 2 minutes...

So, in case peeps haven't seen, down below I thought it'd be fun to do like a Speed Dating for the site among our characters as a way to 1) cause discomfort, 2) meet true love in 2 minutes!, and 3) get to posting with people you haven't yet. And those you have and love. Also, it can be an excuse to kick off that romance plot you've been tossing around. Or maybe you'll find someone that'll catch your fancy. That is the point, after all. Of speed dating.

"But Chesi," you cry out, "It's speed dating! how are you going to capture that uncomfortable 2 minute date?"

Well, we can't really time posts... cause it'd be like "She smiled and sat at the - crap time to move her to the next table." However, I figured we could do like a 2-3 (what are your thoughts?) post limit per couple.

So say Bob is the first. (1) Bob sits with Fran then quickly hammers out his snazzy one-liner he's been saving all of two seconds plus some quick blather about himself. (1) Fran replies, unimpressed with his one liner, and quick blather about herself. (2) Bob posts. (2) Fran posts.
Next post is Bob moving to the next table to meet someone new, without finishing the conversation with Fran. So if Fran's 2nd post ends with her asking a question, he doesn't get to answer because time is OUT and that overly cheerful person is smashing that damned bell repeatedly drowning out everyone/thing except the irritated looks of desperation.

So, anyway, my quick idea of some basic ground rules:

1) 2 (or 3?) posts per character per table total (see example above)
2) After the 1st person posts twice, they have to move on to the next person/table. They cannot finish their conversation at this time.
3) Remember, try to keep the conversations loose yet rushed. Let's make it semi-realistic. If your character doesn't typically talk fast, they're not going to be able to churn out a symphony of prose and that's okay! It's 2 (or 3!) posts to mimic 2 minutes. How much conversation can you really have in 2 minutes?
4) Have some laughs. This is supposed to be (stupid) fun!

Depending on the interest level, I figure I'll assign our ladies to tables (Table 1, 2, etc) then the guys can move around. So, say we do it on the... East Board. We can 1 massive thread with everyone posting under the proper Table # or we can break them up to make it easier to track. So new thread for Table 1, Table 2, etc.

But this will work out so much better if we gets lots of people! Otherwise, ya'll, I'm going to end up with some npcs thrown in there to keep it interesting. Don't do that to me or yourself.
