virtue has a veil; vice a mask
Perhaps tonight she will not wander around as a wolf in sheep's clothing. Tonight she will be going out strutting her feathers about. Well, not really strutting, more like simply just not looking like her usual self. On typical nights she was not dressed in this fancy sort of get-up. Dances and parties were things she was unfamiliar with. Yet Isot's invitation and Nadya's persistence were the reasons behind her need to come here and to fulfill their requests. Yet behind that innocent façade there was need for her to fulfill a selfish hidden desire- to really see what it was all about. Even though she was a bundle of nerves she was a bit excited to see what a party was like. The only way she ever witnessed such things was through tv shows, movies, or books, but none of that could truly compare to actually being in one. It was one of those social events that she didn't think she would be able to be a part of when she was with her blood pack. As she moved down the street her gaze faltered and went to the ground, lowering her head as she simply move silently towards the area where the party was being held. As she climbed the steps, her hands gingerly lifting her dress, so as not to get the ends dirty, she stood at the step and moved through the doors as they opened. Long golden-brown curls bounced along her shoulders as they cascaded down neatly along her back. Pale scarred flesh peek through those layers of curls, as her skin continued to be shown along her collarbone down to a piece of fabric that settled off her shoulder. Blue-grey eyes peeked through the holes of the intricate designed mask that was placed and fitted perfectly along her face those jagged scars still being able to peek through the mask. Proving what she already knew- that she could not hide her scars- they truly being her identity.
It was rare for her to be seen in such an outfit. As she glided through the patrons, weaving around, the light from the chandeliers seemed to show the unique colors of her dress. Sticking with a theme, that was her namesake, the rich ebony long dress was capable of showing off. Under the light at certain moments the colors blues, greens, and purples, subtle colors seemed to reveal themselves on the rich fabric when set underneath the light at a certain time- similar to that of a raven's feathers. The only material that remained a permanent color was the dark royal purple corset, layered with black ribbons that crisscrossed around it. It was a dress that she had found quite tasteful. The only one that didn't make her feel as if she were the Lady of the Night when she went shopping with Nadya. After Tobias proclaimed he didn't appreciate her covering up her scars with 'paint' she had decided to follow his order to heart, and her arms showed off the jagged scars she had received over the years. Keeping to herself her eyes would scan the area looking for something familiar. As one server approached her, he politely dipped his silver tray towards her to reveal foods and drinks, but she did not make a move to reach something, focusing solely on the silver. It would seem another member of the wait staff understood her hesitation and quickly another tray, this time a darker pewter was placed in front of her and she quickly plucked up the tumblr filled with that familiar auburn color. Liquid courage was a necessary thing tonight and the stronger the drink the better to calm her nerves. Catching a familiar shape the young lupine moved through the crowd and gently tapped the girls arm. A small smile was placed on her pink lips, as she simply started at the young vampire through the bird-shaped mask that perfectly shaped her marred face. Softly she spoke, but loud enough for Isolt to hear.
"Thank you for inviting me Isolt, you look lovely."
