East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

A ragged laugh escapes almost painfully from her lips as she slumps on the ground against the stairs, her injured arm slung across the lower step. Wincing slightly, she realizes that she managed to reopen the wound, thankfully she was home and could properly bandage it. Glancing up at Darien while he's bent over trying to catch his breath, she grabs onto the stairwell and hauls herself to an unsteady standing position. Watching with with incredulous eyes, Vhal is shocked by the words that he speaks. Again, another chuckle fills the silence, she isn't quite sure if the faerie was crazy yet, but she liked him. "Sometimes I like to think of myself as pretty bad ass," she jokes, quirking a sly smile, "I think you might just have a little too much adrenaline running through your veins right now, you might not think so when it wears off," she says seriously.

Glancing up at the stairs behind her, she stifles a groan yet she too has adrenaline still coursing through her and she would use it to her advantage. Though the warehouse was fairly dark, she could see the faerie clearly. Reaching out, she clasps his hand firmly in hers again and hauls him unsteadily up the stairs. Grunting with effort, she sways precariously several times but managed to use Darien's hand to balance her in the end. Reaching a solid steel door, she begins the process of unlocking the many locks that are scattered along the door in an almost pattern-like fashion. Hearing the last lock slide open, Vhalla starts momentarily, it was the first person she had brought home besides her master. Scrunching her brows slightly, she pushes the thought away, the man wasn't likely able to find his way here again by himself.

Tightening a grip on his hand, she pulls him inside into a warm, dark room. Shutting the door with a soft click, she reaches over to flip on a light switch to reveal a rather modern and expensive living room. The space is dominated with a large gray sectional, beautifully crafted wooden end tables and a coffee table, floor lamps and a couple of recliners, yet no TV occupied the space. The upstairs of the warehouse was like a whole new world, it screamed money, whereas the warehouse from outside said "trashy" it was the perfect hiding space and home to have people leave her alone. Peeking a look over at Darien, she is suddenly curious to what he thinks about her home but she doesn't ask instead she tugs on his hand to pull her farther into the space. Following a wide hallway, they pass several more rooms, the kitchen and a bathroom as well until the hallway veered off to the left, dropped down three steps into a bedroom.

I giant four poster bed, with ornamentally carved wood, with an unmade bed was the first thing to be seen in the open room, then a large walk in closet, dressers, a vanity and a long privacy screen to block the view of the bathroom. It was one thing to note that there were not very many doors in the warehouse, one for the entrance to her home and one for a guest bathroom down the hall. With her being the only one here, it didn't particularly matter if there were doors or not. Finally, Vhal releases his hand after walking towards the privacy screen and snagging the towel that had been laid over the top of it. Returning to the foot of the bed, she casually tossed the towel on the mattress, unlaced her boots and reached back to begin undoing her suit after dropping Darien's jacket to the floor. Sucking in a breath at the sudden pain on her arm, the assassin clenched her jaw. She was determined to get the suit off by herself this time.

Continuing as fast as she could through the zippers and buttons, Vhalla was breathing heavily by the time she was finished. Shrugging out of the black material, she winces as she slides the sleeve over her injured arm and pushes the suit the rest of the way down her body and stepping out of it. Her entire backside is exposed to the faerie, scars and all, but the witch wasn't modest, she had no reason to be. Grabbing the towel, she wraps it around herself and tucks the end in place so she wouldn't have to hold onto it while she moved around. Glancing back as Darien she hadn't realized she hadn't said much since she brought him home, "I might need your help and then I promise to make you feel more comfortable. I don't want you to leave tonight," she says softly as she turns to sit at the edge of the bed. Using a rather delicate foot, she pushes the filthy material on the floor out of the way and beckons for Darien to come closer.

"There's a green salve, clean bandages, needles, thread and whiskey on that desk over there," she indicates with her head at the vanity which, with a closer look, is not a vanity at all, it's littered with medical equipment rather than makeup, "Could you bring it to me please? I need to take care of this first before I can play hostess," she smiles at him tiredly, "Oh, but the whiskey is for you if you would like some. You have to share it with me though," she laughs softly gazing into his eyes. She needed a drink desperately, yet, she very much wanted to kiss him again.
