East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

there's something in the way

Was it solely about power? Was power indeed the unwavering foundation upon which a coven, their coven, would be built? Or was it respect, independence, comraderie, and loyalty that would serve to distinguish Elysium as a force to be reckoned with amongst the myriad groups that punctuated Sacrosanct's unique culture? Power seemed a byproduct of these, a derivative and not-insignificant secondary principle to be given as much thought and subsequent as the primary ideals. It was power, however, that would be shared; a bounty which every Elysium member would and should partake in. Though much did she have yet to learn about baring the heft of her shimmering crown, Isolt did know this above all other things. Power was an undeniable rule of the game they would enter into, a necessary evil if she should be successful playing at this at least somewhat political sport.

"The pleasure is mine, Crishlyn," she cooes, trying out her impromptu companion's name as it rolls against the fleshy curl of her tongue. The one she chooses is a calm facade, astute as the youthful Supreme offers her complete and unyielding attention to the elder vampire. Calm is her facade, and yet excited, elated even, is Isolt's stilled heart. Though the notion of growing the coven was a monolithic undertaking, the redheaded woman could not stifle the purr of excitement the buzzed at her deadened nerves at the possibilities suggested by their eventual success. And, as evidenced by this woman's arrival, at least some portion of the nocturnal populace was taking notice.

A smile, delicate and faultlessly poised, etches itself against the soft pallor of the vampire's cheeks. "There is always a place in Elysium for those seeking allies. We would be honored to have you. But I must ask, what place would you like to fill?" It was perhaps the most pertinent question of the entire interaction, an inquiry the answer to which would be most telling.

Most telling indeed.
