East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

if you've got nothing to dance about find a reason to sing

Every night since she had arrived had been eventful. She had met new faces, and seen new things; things she never thought she would see in a million lifetimes. The girl was on a high from all the sights and wonders of the world that she never knew and she wasn't ready to stop exploring now. Pulling her hair partially back, the woman then picked out one of her few dresses. She then grabbed a small, black clasp which held cash in it and made her way to town.

Once again downtown was lit up as she strolled down the streets, almost as if the city never slept. A bright smile was upon the girl as she looked in the windows of the many shops. They all seemed to have divine items, though it was when she came to a shop filled with dresses that she practically squealed. Pushing the door open, a little more excited than the average person, the vampire allowed her eyes to adjust to the fluorescent lighting.

Racks upon racks of dresses were before her, instantly making this her favorite shop as she went to the first one and began browsing. Two hours later and the woman left with two bags of hair supplies, dresses, shoes, and a couple new purses. She almost skipped down the street as she was more than happy with her buy and was certain she would be visiting once again in the near future.

Spotting a café across the street, the woman turned to head over, causing a cab to slam on its brakes, honking the horn at her. The driver was shouting obscene words to the girl, and she gave him an apologetic look. She gave a sorry back and moved out of the way as the tires squealed around her, the man still shouting.

Not letting that get her down, the woman finally made it to the café where she was greeted by a cheerful waitress who graciously handed Gianni a menu. The vampire glanced over it, not sure exactly what to get as she read over the many items. She asked the other woman what her favorite was, then ordered herself a French vanilla latte. Of course the vampire hadn't a clue what kind of drink it was, but she figured if the one woman like it, then why wouldn't she?

She turned to look at the outdoor seating, to which all tables seemed to be full. A frown came over her until she spotted another vampire. His attire spoke of wealth, perhaps power as he sat, drinking his tea, which made her unsure if she should approach or not. The woman reappeared with the latte and Gianni took a deep breath, brushing off her crimson dress with her black gloved hands and made her way to the other vampire.

She stopped before him, her eyes dropping to the ground immediately, and giving him a small curtsey, "Ciao signore, would you mind if I joined you?" After all, sitting with another vampire would be better than trying to find a seat with any of the others. She kept her eyes averted, waiting for his answer.
