The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She seems content just to sit and watch but I don't see the fun in that. I like being a part of the chaos, not just spectating. If I didn't know any better, I'd say she's never been to a festival. I can feel her eyes watching me, observing me. I wonder what she thinks of me but I don't have that power so instead I just go off of what I can see. I'm sure she's wondering if I'm trustworthy and if she were to ask me, I'd say no without hesitation. I don't even know what I'm going to do next most of the time. It's a dangerous feeling but a fun one. She meets my eyes and smiles, her whole face lighting up at the idea of a prize. She looks over toward the booths, considering. She bites her lip and I raise a brow, waiting patiently. She looks at each booth in detail before deciding on what she wants. A pink bunny rabbit. I smile, amusement dancing in my eyes. She seems distant in this moment, as if her thoughts are a million years from where we are. I wonder if the rabbit brings back memories or reminds her of something or someone. She shifts uncomfortably when I ask about getting involved. I can tell she wants to, but she seems unsure how. Luckily for her, she has me here to show her. She smiles again after a moment, admitting that she has never been to a festival before, confirming my theory. She seems to asking a silent question as she looks up at me and I smile. "Well, I've been to plenty of these, just not in this town, so surely we'll find some way to win you that rabbit." I offer a playful wink. She seems to recognize the gesture as I hold out my hand. After a moment of staring at my hand, she finally reaches out and places her hand on top. Leaning my head up, I smoothly caress the back of her hand with my lips, my blue eyes looking up into hers as I do so before I draw back, releasing her hand back to her as I straighten up. She introduces herself as Gianni. "Pleasure's all mine." I reply. She suddenly smiles and stands up. Something tells me she's ready to act. Her words sound like a challenge and I happen to love challenges. I grin, flashing pearly whites. "It would be my honor." She gives me a daring look and I hold out my arm. "Shall we?" Waiting for her to either start walking toward the booths or take my arm, I stride over toward the booth in question. The vendor turns to us with a greedy grin, sure that he's got more idiots to fall for his rigged contraptions. I give him a swave smirk before turning to my companion. "Think I can get the ring on the bottle?" I raise a brow as the vendor hands me five rings before turning to the bottles in question. Throwing the first three rings go fast but of course each one bounces right off the bottles. The fourth one gets close but ends up sliding down the side. As I get ready to throw the fifth ring, I glance at her. "Wish me luck." |
