East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

This new speedbump in his life was not something Henry wanted to believe. For him, it was so much easier to just ignore what was happening to him. If he didn't acknowledge its existence, it wasn't real, right? Well, it was to Henry. He didn't want to deal with it. He didn't want to learn what his new responsibilities were nor did he want to take on any extra precautions. However, this stranger was still insisting that he take this seriously. Henry just didn't feel it. He didn't want to take any of this seriously.

However, when the stranger began to speak of AIDS, Henry snapped his neck to stare at him. AIDS was definitely not something to joke about. Henry made sure he had regular testing. After all, he didn't want Sterling to get anything from him...especially when he was known for sleeping around early in their relationship. He took AIDS very seriously and it seemed silly to equate something like AIDS with turning into a fucking cat. "Yeah, I know what AIDS is. I just don't see how this relates." Okay, so Henry was in complete denial. He would get it eventually, once he was forced to face the consequences. Unfortunately, he would probably only take his condition seriously when something bad happened to Sterling or some innocent soul. It was a sad truth.

However, when he was asked to finish his drink, there was only a sip left in the cup. Just to be an asshole, he left it in the glass and laid some cash on the bar. He didn't want to join him to see whatever it was that this stranger wanted him to see, however, there was something about him that forced his hand. Henry didn't understand the draw he would forever have to this stranger. Another thing Henry would deny.

But in all things Henry fashioned, it wasn't about to stop and bow his head. No. He was going to fight this as long as he could. It was like fishing, you fight the fish until the fish tires out, then you reel it in. In this case, Henry was the fish. "Look, I really don't know who you are, but I think this conversation is done. Go try to scare some other innocent soul. I've got a life to live...and you aren't part of it." He needed to get back to Sterling. All this anger was stirring up feelings of lust and need. Henry needed to blow off some of this steam and blowing Sterling seemed like the best idea. However, in the back of his mind, Henry wasn't so sure this stranger was finished talking. He didn't seem like the type to just shut up and walk away.
