East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It was the blood loss that was making Edie so entirely loose lipped. Normally, the fox was careful about all the things she said. The exception, perhaps, being Frost or Kato. Those two remained the only two souls in the world that Edie entirely trusted and told (almost) anything to. Nadya... well. Nadya was certainly not on that list, and yet here Edie was talking about all the things that should have been kept under tight secrecy. After all, even with the panther having saved her life, she was from a rival pack, and as such could not be trusted. Still, Edie found herself telling all about the night that Kato had met Frost. Before that night, Edie had been positive that she wasn't going to introduce the pair of them. After all, Kato was never supposed to be more than a one night stand, and here she was so incredibly in love with him. She wished - truly so - that Kato and Frost got along. Just as she wished that Kato would have chosen to join Chimera and be with her.

It was the fact that she couldn't swim that Nadya seemed to latch on to, and Edie couldn't help the eye roll that she afforded the woman with at her smirk. "I didn't exactly expect that you would throw me overboard, you know." At the notion that she had a mouth on her, it was Edie's own turn to smirk. "Frost sent me, you know. He wanted to see you, and he... he didn't give me much instruction." Edie shrugged, reaching up to push her hair back and out of her face. She knew, logically, that what Nadya had put her through was considerably less than what the other members of the pack might have done. "When you exploded that crate... a piece got... embedded into my side." She reached down instinctively to touch the place on her side where that wood had sliced into her body. "Kato tried to help me out, but it was Frost who healed me."

The very notion of living away from Frost had Edie shaking her head. There was a fine line that seemed to exist for the girl on her loyalty to her boyfriend and her loyalty towards her Alpha. When it came down to it, she would stay with Frost. Kato had yet to complain about living within Frost's home. At least, not really. Edie simply continued to deny that thought, pressing on how fond Frost remained of his Beta. "It's my job as his Beta to be near him." She explained briefly before she commented on Nadya's own hesitation on joining their pack. She hadn't meant to hurt the girl - she had been teasing entirely - and yet it seemed that she'd brought out another bout of sadness from the woman. "Hey, I understand..." She looked over at the woman. "When I left my old pack, it meant leaving my family forever. It wasn't an easy decision. I... I wouldn't place that decision on anyone, Nadya."

It was the idea of dancing that called to Edie's attention next. After all, she'd been to burlesque shows in the past and admired the intricate way that the dancers' bodies moved. It was an art, and one that she was willing entirely to learn. "I can dance. But I meant burlesque. It's beautiful." She shrugged, giving the woman her attention. She remained pleased when Nadya consented to teaching her, though she was even more pleased by the way Nadya insisted that she sleep. "Okay." She agreed, moving to lay her body back on the couch once more. She hadn't realized that she was exhausted, and yet she found herself drifting off before Nadya even left the room.

She wasn't sure how long she'd been asleep when she finally roused, and for several seconds she looked around the room entirely confused as to where exactly she was. The burlesque... yes. Of course. It took minutes of sitting there rubbing her eyes before everything returned to her. Her own curiosity, the way that the witch had harmed her. Nadya's own healing abilities that had saved her life. She'd owe Nadya now. Dammit. But at least she was alive and Frost was unaware of what exactly she had gotten herself into. The girl pushed herself to her feet after only a minute, moving over the rack of clothes that was in the corner of the office. The brunette wasted no time in depositing her own clothes in the waste bin before she selected one of Nadya's outfits. There was little she could do about the blood in her hair, so she made her way down the stairs and into the main area of the burlesque. She stopped at the bar, eyeing Nadya behind the counter. "Alright, I think you made me an offer to teach me to dance?" She commented, plopping herself down on one of the bar stools.
