East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It is that comment of the Hunter on the women before him and there supposed efficiency between the sheets that momentarily sees one eye of the Monarch lift upward in a sudden curiosity, a simper tugging readily at his lips at such a bold statement and yet truly there was something almost teasing about those words. Dorian decidedly pleased to meet another whom so readily seemed to appreciate such amusements- even if it was a decidedly inappropriate thing to so discuss all the same. Especially with a man he had met but moments ago. His silver gaze shifts once more, lingering upon those scantily clad women again before he merely nods in some manner of agreement, something near impish seeming to settle upon his features all the same. Even one drink, it would seem, entirely inclined to so loosen the Fae Kings often unshakeable morals. Modern alcohol however, was far more potent then any he was used to. Dorian regarding William once more.

"Either they would be exceptional lovers or they are merely exceptional teasers. Women whom are not so confident in intimate affairs are often given to compensate for such with other talents- such dancing potentially merely that. I feel it is more of a gamble and yet I suspect it is entirely the point of their dance to so have men consider just what they might be capable of. Certainly not childbearing though, they are all far too skinny of hip for that."

It was, perhaps a curious comment and yet Dorian so existed from any age where a woman's ability between the sheets was second only to her ability to produce children- such narrow waisted girls certainly pleasing to look at and yet they hardly seemed fit for motherhood. Dorian truly showing his age in that moment as a scowl of sorts touched his features, gaze returning to William once more.

"You are not married are you?"

This was, after all, surely not the place for a married man to be! Dorian so suddenly finding himself distinctly concerned for the sanctity of the man before him, seeking to assure himself William hardly had someone waiting at home for him before so shifting that conversation to just where the man was from. The English, it seemed, were apt to call this city home- the men far more pleasant then the woman, at least, if Edie was anything to go by and yet for now at least he remains silent upon the topic. Dorian instead offering some version of how it was he had come to be within this city himself and just why he had chosen to remain. His mention of other Hunters seeming to displease the one before him in some sense, Dorian oblivious perhaps, to any sensitivity William might hold with his own species and yet the ever-observant Fae was careful to assure he not mention such a thing again for now. William, it seemed, was not inclined to favour his own kind. A grin tugs readily at his lips however at the other mans assurance he so understood that notion of having someone- someone whom so afforded the very world itself meaning. Dorian himself having come to understand that feeling for the first time in his existence- and how glorious it was!

"Does this woman know of your affections for her?"

It was perhaps, simply the way the Hunter had so worded such a thing, Dorian merely assuming it was a woman and indeed that William might be content to admire her from affair, his own gaze watching once more as William ordered further drinks and asked after Samantha- the sour look the waitress so afforded him seeing Dorian's own held tilt ever so slightly.

"Everyone likes Samantha."

It was decidedly true, of that he was assured, Samantha by far the most likeable creature Dorian is assured he had ever met. The woman often prone to clumsiness and a complete lack of understanding on cutlery and yet despite that the girl was charming. How anyone could dislike her was utterly beyond him. He reached readily for that second drink even despite how decidedly light-headed he was beginning to feel. William seeming displeased at the mention of that council too before assuring him the Council was clearly no friend of his either. Was not the purpose of Hunters to kill others? Dorian assured this was how it had been explained to him and yet perhaps, William simply desired otherwise, was he not allowed to decide as such?

"There must be many Hunters whom do not choose to hunt, why does this Council hold such interest in you?"

It was a surprisingly logical question for the slightly tipsy Fae, Dorian frowning slightly once more.

"Hunter is an amusing word."

It wasn't, not really, yet Dorian thinks it is.
