East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It had been Edie's own fault to find herself within a position such as this. Every aspect of being what she was meant for careful care in everything that she did. After all, the young girl hadn't grown up in an environment that was as open as Sacrosanct was. She was used to constantly looking over her shoulder to make sure that no one knew what she was. In the months that she'd been within Sacrosanct, it was becoming increasingly clear that she had became a little too comfortable. She had paid so little attention to what might have been lurking in the dark, and that was precisely how she'd found herself so entangled in... whatever it was this was. The webbing had her positively stuck, and every movement only seemed to make the problem worse. How she hated being at the mercy of whatever it was that lurked in the night as she called for help. God, how embarrassing.

The boy that seemed to drop out of nowhere, however, grasped the entirety of the young woman's attention. Perhaps instinctively, Edie's body recoiled away from the hooded figure. "Hi, could you..." She started, her words cut off as the moon lit up what of his features weren't hidden by that hood. He was a handsome thing, really. The kind of boy that Edie would have so willingly wrapped herself up in within a club. To feel his eyes upon her made her smirk without meaning to. Briefly, there was that overwhelming sense of pride that he was taken with her appearance. Of course, that pride was quickly replaced with relief as he took her hand. For several naive moments, Edie was sure that he was working to free her before the realization that he was only further binding her. "He- hey!" Edie stuttered out. Gone was that confident girl, replaced entirely by a fearful, bound girl who had little control over what was about to happen to her.

"Let go of me you blo..." She started, moving as much as she could to attempt to get her legs out of his grasp as he worked to bind them in a similar fashion to what her arms were. It was only once she had little movement at all did she purse her lips together, a look of rage on her features as she regarded the man silently. It was only in that moment did the moonlight seem to flicker on the features of the man in front of her. "Vampire." She whispered, her own voice coming out significantly less confident than she was used to. It was a simple accusation, and with that knowledge came the realization of what was about to happen to her. The woman scowled as he grabbed ahold of her chin, doing her best to yank away from his grasp. Though, with her body bound as it was, it was a useless gesture and her head was forced to one side anyway.

"You know, you could at least buy me a drink first," The young woman muttered as he pressed his fingers against her neck. She shivered almost involuntarily at his touch. His fingers were cold against her too warm skin. The gesture seemed too intimate. Too personal. And yet the girl was powerless to stop any of his advances. The only thing she could hope for, really, would be that he wouldn't take too much and she'd still be able to get home safely. Or hell, that he wouldn't drain her right here in the alley. It was only when he spoke did those green eyes of hers flick up to his, a nervous smile on her lips. After all, you smiled at crazy people, right? It kept them calm. "Go ahead," She said softly, though her tone didn't quite match up to the tiny smile that was on her lips. After all, regardless of permission given, he would drink from her. Right?
