The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I love the feel of her skin touching mine, even in something so innocent as our noses touching. I, too, feel the yearning draw of her lips, oh so close and yet I hold back because my inner nerves are killing me. I know I can't chicken out or I would never forgive myself. Her words draw me from my thoughts for a moment and I chuckle lightly. My voice is a whisper, feather soft, my eyes sparkling like diamonds as I reach up, my thumb and index finger cupping her chin so my thumb can caress across her jawline softly.
"I do love you, more than I've ever thought possible. It's a nice bonus that you're also one sexy Supreme." My lips tug into a lopsided smirk as I lean in to give her a chaste kiss before I tighten my arms around her and pull her in close. I begin our waltz slow, steadily picking up speed. The sound of her laughter is the best sound I've ever heard. I could listen to that musical sound for the rest of my existence.
I hate to see her brows furrow in puzzlement, wishing as I always do that I could read her thoughts to know what she's thinking. I don't want her to think it's anything bad or jump to the worst conclusion. She always seems to think only bad things can happen to her. She can never believe that she deserves goodness in her life. Just as I thought, she asks what's wrong and I shake my head with a nervous laugh.
"Nothing's wrong, love. In fact, it's the very opposite. Everything's right."
With a deep sigh, I take the space she's put between us with that tiny step back to drop to one knee, holding onto her hand as if it's my lifeline. I clear my throat again and slowly pull my hand out of my pocket, opening my palm to show her the small box in my hand. "Isolt...I know I have a lot to prove to you and I'm going to spend the rest of eternity doing just that. I know I don't deserve an answer right now and that's okay if you need to think about it. I'm even okay with it if you say no because let's face it, I'm as stubborn as they come and I'm just going to keep asking until you say yes." I smirk up at her, brushing my lips across her hand before I flick the box open to show the dazzling ring within.
"You are my life, my world. You are my moon and stars, forever my center and my saving grace. I couldn't imagine my life without you and I hope I never have to. Isolt Griffin...will you make me the happiest vampire undead and be my wife some day? In other words...will you marry me?" It's a good thing I don't have to breathe because let's face it, that's the furthest thing from my thoughts right this second.
