East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

She was staring at him so hard he was almost sure she was trying to murder him with her glare. Maybe she had some sort of eye-themed power he had apparently misjudged all along, putting away her weapon only to stare him to death at that suggestion that, he supposed, they had a similar goal and that he would hardly be opposed to trailing after her on occasion and cleaning up her mess. Why waste the blood she spilled? Why not put it to better use? Like feeding vampiric vultures. Whatever had been done to her had evidently resulted in some sort of deep-seated disdain for his own species, or in the very least a mistrust of them. He was hardly going to defend his own kind. His opinion of them wasn't a whole lot better. Arlo having spent the better part of his forced immortality at least attempting to be different from them and yet, when that blood called, it still ruled him too. How he loathed that part of himself- those thoughts cast aside for now along with whatever it was Buffy had so been considering that saw her own gaze peer at that rain as if she was looking right past it before fixing him with that death glare. Were all Hunters this uptight? No wonder they never had friends. Her assurance he could surely find her if he wanted her was met with a nod of sorts. She was right, he supposed, finding her wouldn't be all that difficult if he truly wanted to do it.

"True enough."

She, like every other blood-filled being, held a rather distinct scent he was sure he could pick up on again if he really looked, the vampire committing it to memory as that rain continued to fall, the both of them fairly soaked now and yet he blamed his newfound 'companion' entirely. Arlo glad for the hood that still covered most of his features, keeping his near-black hair dry from the rain- ardent blue eyes watching her again all the same as that simper managed to find its way to his lips at the suggestion Buffy alter her attitude in life. If Arlo, after all, could seemingly find something to be pleased about in the middle of the rain in this god forsaken city then he was sure she could manage the same, the way her features soured seeing his grin only sharpen all the more as if she was truly tempted to tell him to fuck off. The man expecting no less. Her reply something of a surprise as a chuckle hummed within his throat, the man reaching into his back pocket to pull that black notebook from within it, page after page filled with his own notes, descriptions and lists of each and every being he'd met though the reasons as to why he kept that book remained to be seen. A pen was pulled from within his jacket, the vampire scrawling upon that paper a moment before tearing it from the book, pen and notebook replaced before that piece of paper was folded and held towards the hunter to take. His phone number printed inside.

"Just in case you ever want a....attitude adjustment. I'm at zero post-bang kills so far. I do bite during though- can't help it. Vampire reflex. You were warned."

It was a call he held no doubt he was never going to receive and yet it hardly stopped that grin that danced somewhere beneath that hood, Arlo already turning on his heel to stride to the edge of that building. His affinity was called readily to life, that web sent out into the darkness below.

"Goodnight, Buffy."

-and with that he quite simply stepped off the edge of that building, those webs layered to catch him in the shadows below. Arlo entirely content to disappear back into the darkness and make his own way home. Curious girl that one. Very curious.
