The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I must be
Buffy doesn't like feeling vulnerable. And somehow during the span of just several minutes, Sebastian had seemingly chipped away at her usually immovable outer exterior, which left her feeling stunted and emotionally unguarded in his wake. Somehow he managed to make her feel guilty for doing her job. He made her feel bad for being so poignant. Something in her gut told her what he was doing was wrong. And the instincts she inherited when she became a dark hunter told her to stop him at all costs. Buffy folded her arms over her chest and carefully ran her hands up and down her arms as if she felt a chill. She was careful to baby the palm of her bleeding hand as she did so.
Buffy doesn't look at him as he further explains his relationship with this other being to her. She winces underneath the messy strands of brown locks that hide her face, and she bites down hard on her bottom lip as she starts to try to formulate an exit strategy. Buffy isn't interested in staking him anymore. Something about it makes her feel queasy inside. Sort of similar to the hesitation she experienced when she first met Jason. But her mind was racing and the emotions were becoming too difficult to handle.
Deep down she knows he's right. She's allowed the experience she had with just one vampire taint her ability to interact with any other. It was easy to do that, given the traumatic experience she had gone through. It was even easier when it was her job to kill vampires. She was confused and this whole interaction had been as unsettling as the first time she met Sebastian.
She flashes him the briefest of smiles as grants her the opportunity to kill him under the right circumstances. "Well, I think I've had about enough." She said after some time, her voice much more shaken than before. Buffy balled her fists again and shoved her injured one into the pocket of her jacket. Her dark eyes dart to find Sebastian's once more, her sorry stare being the only offer of an apology she could bring herself to offer him, and she turns on her heels to head back down the alley, using her uninjured hand to open the door to the club, a wall of chatter and bass and noise hitting her as she slipped back inside.
