The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Miyako should feel bad for the way the woman offered her help, but instead, she found herself immensely grateful for the way Sorcha helped her. She would never have gotten the box into the apartment alone. Grimacing at the thought of herself tumbling backwards off the stairs, she snakes her fingers up into her ponytail, twirling it about her fingers, a habit she picked up some years ago, though she mostly only did it when she was nervous or thinking. After Mi offers her hand, she's delighted when Sorcha clasps it in her own, giving a soft smile she gestures to the woman's hand, "Did you scraped your knuckles too? It was a tight fit," Miyako asks, concern coloring her lyrics as she continues to hold onto Sorcha's slim hand, inspecting it carefully.
Her own knuckles were rubbed raw, she could only imagine the woman's were the same way. "Hang on, I have an ointment that will help with the stinging," turning on a heel she briefly looks for her purse, finding it slung over the old couch, she shuffles through it quickly, producing a small container. Opening it, the strong medicinal scent of the ointment fills the air as Miyako makes her way back to the woman, "Give me your hand," Mi orders softly, taking Sorcha's hand again, smearing the ointment into her knuckles, massaging it carefully, "Sorry, I should have warned it, it can sting a little sometimes," she smiles again, giving Sorcha back her hand and twisting the cap back on.
When Sorcha comments on the pots, Miyako can't help but offer a wide grin, nodding her head quickly, "Yes! It's a favorite past time of mine. Although, I don't often get to cook for anyone else but myself," she trails off momentarily until her eyes light up suddenly, "Can I cook for you sometime, Sorcha? As a thank you," Miyako asks, her cheeks flushed in excitement. Mi desperately wanted to make a good impression on her potentially new friend and she was certain that cooking for Sorcha would be a good way to make friends. "I could teach you how to cook if you would like too, under my supervision, I think we could make a good cook out of you yet!" she grins excitedly, pausing to brush the dust off her jean clad legs.
When the woman asks if she's new to the city, Miyako gives a slight nod, folding her arms across her chest, "Yes, I'm here to finish schooling, I heard Sacrosanct has an amazing doctorate program," Mi muses, wondering briefly if she should have really left her home in Chicago. She had left not only her home behind but all of her friends. At the time, she had told herself she needed to focus on herself and finish her schooling, Mi wanted nothing more than to become a doctor and help save lives. Reminiscing on her memories briefly, she returns to the present, watching Sorcha, "Thank you again, I would never have gotten this box in the house without your help," she smiles gratefully, patting the box lovingly.
