The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Nadya Tetradore
Nadya easily noted the nervousness of the small feline and for that alone kept her movements slow so as not to spook her. When she questioned after her name though, the answer that the child responded with at first caused the young mother's head to tilt. Surely she wasn't a number? Perhaps the child had been confused by the question? At least that was what Nadya was going to ask before the girl named herself Cora. "Cora, what a pretty name. I won't hurt you." Again she made to reassure the child as she stepped back to get Cora to follow.
The movement was hesitant at first before Cora all but catapulted past Nadya and out of the van into the street. A soft chuff escaped Nadya's lips, turning about to gracefully leap out of the van. Although Cora moved to the cab, Nadya paused by the curbside to watch as the girl mewed in attempt to beckon the deceased occupants. Of course Nadya wasn't about to tell a child that whom she may have held dear in there was now dead. That hardship wasn't something she wished to go over. Instead the ebony jaguar waited for Cora to lose interest and the promise of food to turn her attention away from the van. "Yes, we will go back to my home and I can make you some food. What do you like?"
Nadya's glinting gaze watched in amusement as Cora pattered with a stone until seeming to finally realize the extent of her surroundings and so press herself against the panther's leg. Once more a reassuring rumble vibrated Nadya's chest, nudging the top of the girl's head as she led them down the sidewalk back around the corner. Nadya paused in her stride once near a bush, letting out a deep chirp of a call which was answered only a moment later by two smaller squeaks. The bush rustled as the small kittens, one spotted as a leopard and one as black as Nadya herself, left the safe haven their mother had placed them in. "Cora, this is Izzy," She lifted a paw to gently push the spotted kitten, "and this is Micah. They're my cubs and they won't hurt you either." Nadya glanced towards Cora for any sign of fear. Her own kittens were much smaller than Cora still, only two years old they were able to walk just fine but still had that playful bounce to their step.
"Home is this way." Nadya stepped over her cubs who knew to follow their mother in the direction of their home. The twins had no sense of stranger danger if it was their mother who brought the individual so their gaze was only curious at the new addition.
