If there was any singular benefit to being a witch, it was the uncanny ability to distinguish her supernatural clients from those that came in search of love potions and good luck charms. The ungifted, while the most profitable of clientele, were often taxing as far as day to day operations went. They required reassurances that spells, potions and amulets actually worked. it had gotten to the point that sometimes Serafina would sell them fakes if only to make them
shut up and go away. Someone like
them, however, appreciated the art much more. They knew what the witches were actually capable and, most importantly, they rarely doubted her. Serafina's head tilted slightly to the side as she listened to the girl's peculiar draw. She had to admit she was certainly intrigued - a supernatural with a enigmatic accent and an even more peculiar request. The simper that crossed the girl's lips as she admitted in detail her species was enough to cause a blank stare to cross Serafina's feminine features, her lips parting ever so slightly as if she had something to say but was to surprised to even voice it. An anaconda within her store? It was as if Fate was teasing her.
The serpent meant many things to those of pagan beliefs, especially in the cases of young witches. The snake was a symbol of eternal life. It was a sign of a female witch's awakening of power and, quite frankly, Serafina could certainly use some awakening right about now. Potions were the only thing she was good at, it was the only magic she had been able to successfully perform. Frankly, she questioned sometimes why her blood was the silver hue of her species. Sometimes, she questioned if she was even meant to be one of them. However, the perhaps most intriguing part of snakes was the innate power they held within dark ritualistic magic - within Hoodoo magic. They were a double edged sword - capable of bringing life and death. "An anaconda, hm?" She inquired softly, her stormy gaze finding a new hold upon the young woman in front of her. Her eyes traced the sharp features of her face, the ones that gave her an almost malicious look to it. She understood the slip of s' in her voice and, with renewed interest, Serafina saw fit to circle the girl, eying the fashion her skin seemed taunt against her bones. Oh this was going to be very interesting indeed.
"We've never had an anaconda before." She commented, more to herself then anyone else in particular. She wasn't very concerned about the reputation that her species had, after all she was hardly the most pure of witches. The dark arts certainly had their appeal but Serafina doubted she'd even be able to pull off their complicated rituals even if she
tried. Never the less, now was not time to dwell upon her inquisitive little book, not when she had a serpent to assist. She pivoted on the balls of her feet, meandering through the store from one aisle to the next, her grey tinged gaze diligently searching for a single item. It was a small stretch, not made specifically for the change of an anaconda but Serafina was certain the spell could apply here as well. Finally, admits a box of random jewelry, Serafina found what she was looking for - plucking the amulet from the mismatch of others to turn and present it to the young woman. The silver neckless held a large, dull looking ruby in the center, the gemstone surrounded by tribal shapes that twisted in and amongst each other in a way that resembled the coils of a snake. "It might not seem like much but...it will do the trick. It'll only work while your wearing it though, okay? So try not to loose it." Many of their items were unique - either crafted or found. This one was definitely no different.
