East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It was only natural, the way the young woman had utilized his full name when saying hello. It was far better, surely, than what she would have done had she still been within her native country. Politeness was the epicenter of Eastern culture and Chizue had been ingrained as well as the rest of her peers. She was almost surprised, really, at the way he'd so insisted to be called something else entirely and yet, Chizue was hardly once to voice any suggestion otherwise. Instead, the young woman offered him a rather gracious smile, her head nodding ever so slightly. "Of course, I'd forgotten, I'm sorry." She uttered simply. After all, he had told her this before, hadn't he? Americans and their names entirely baffled her and yet, Chizue was making an effort all the same. Nevertheless, she was content to ask him how he was, the girl hardly anticipated that her presence alone might have so drastically impacted the man and his day. She could hardly help the soft hue of pink that filled her cheeks at that simple announcement, that warm smile blossomed across her lips. "Oh, um...thank you." Chizue spoke with a hint of uncertainty.

She watched as he shifted ever so slightly in his seat, that inquiry of what she was doing here so prompted her to share her own story of how she'd come by that cafe. Her head bobbed ever so slightly once again in confirmation that she did, indeed, live nearby and yet, she was surprised to learn how much he loved those little cafes like the one they found themselves in now. The demure girl had never been one for social situations, that simple visitation to this cafe was already outside the realm of her usual activities. Chizue mostly stuck to those bookstores and libraries, entirely content to find a sofa chair in some obscure corner with a cup of starbucks bought coffee. Still, he made those little shops like this sound entirely warm and homey, that suggestion that he'd suffer a caffeine overdose from living so close to one like she did only caused a soft bubble of giggles upon her lips. "It is definitely better for your health to be here." She agreed, even if she hardly had any idea of how difficult or ease it was to talk to people at either such places. After all, she never prompted conversations and decidedly few people prompted any with her either.

That sudden question saw the girl glance back down at that drink she'd almost entirely ignored up until this point. Her gaze shifted back upwards with a warm smile as she offered him the cup to glance at. "It's a Mocha, they gave me a rose on top of mine, see?" She inquired, showing him that whipped cream art that had so fascinated her. "It's really neat how they did that, isn't it?" The girl continued voicing her awe all the same. "I suppose we shouldn't let them get cold though." After all, they both had purchased their drinks, surely they should have enjoyed what that barista had put such effort into creating. She glanced down at her cup, raising it to her lips only for the whipped cream to get slightly upon her top lip. Delicately, her tongue caressed that upper lip as she pulled that cup away, an almost bashful glimpse crossing her features. "It's very good! You should try yours!" She declared estatically.
