East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

"You don't think it would scar more with a blade still biting into your face? Ah come on, scars are a fashion statement." She spoke, teasing words to goad her further. Her wolfish maw tugged into what seemed like a grinning face, who said canines couldn't smile was a lie. Of course, smiling wolves looked more ominous like they were baring their fangs in silent warning, just before they ripped your throat out. Alas.

Perhaps this woman's feral side did not attack her because she had more control than she even realised. Yet she kept that slice of knowledge to herself.

How broken this she-wolf appeared before her. Couldn't she even rise up to meet her coaxing challenge? Couldn't she see that Mira was trying to pull out the spirit of the wolf inside of her? That vibrant and wild spirit they possessed just beneath their surface. She wanted to show her that she was stronger than she even realised. Perhaps, she underestimated the truth that she was further along and far more defeated than she realised. It was sad. She has seen those with their spirits fractured but this seemed like pure and utter defeat, like a broken mirror shattered into a trillion tiny shards that couldn't be pieced back together.

Her pep talk seemed to fall upon deaf ears, Mira could not help but peer at her, a small sigh falling from her parted maw, her ears twitching as if searching for the sound of imminent danger. There was nothing, just the subtle sound of marching rats raiding the body of the dark hunter they slaughtered mere moments ago.

"They sound more like humans than wolves. After all, it is more of a human trait to judge what they don't understand so harshly, especially when they are scared." She dips her head in a fashion that almost seemed like a nod. The top of her muzzle nudged the woman almost in a reassuring way, she could not be tough on her. This she realises. "You don't scare me." She admits again, only this time softly. Her blazing golden eyes skim across the mangled scares across her shadowy, haunted face.

The other wolf did a motion that almost seemed bashful, she had never seen that emotion in such creature, an all too human gesture. Even though the she-wolf feared Mira, she had offered her aid. Part of her wanted to decline the offer, wanting nothing more than to lick her own wounds in private, but she couldn't help but wonder about this familiar name called the Ark. "The ark? Like the place where animals march two by two? I've gotta see this." She teases, her tail flicked from side to side with sassiness. "Alright, lead the way." Might as well make an adventure of this whole ordeal. After all, the beast that had harmed her was finally slain. Her revenge was met with the most ruthless sentence of all, death.

As the duo walked, clinging to the shadows and what sparse greenery they could find so they would not draw that unwanted attention. She decides, in pure Mira fashion to stick her nose where it didn't belong.

"Did you ever think the more you try to control the feral the more out of your control it will be? Have you tried embracing who and what you are, that you might learn to coexist side by side?" She had a rough time with her change, her own wolf form would attack anything and everything that moved too quickly, including humans, she would not discriminate. Hell, that wicked wildness was still there, lurking just behind those golden eyes. The more she tried to fight what she had become the more she lost control of the blood thirsty wolf inside of her, however, as she embraced the wolf rather than fight it, she became something new, a better version of herself. The wolf and she had merged and became one in the same as she gains back that welcomed control. No longer did she have to worry if she ate some innocent kid who decided to wander into the woods at night. Once she embraced, who and what she was, those predatory instincts became part of her and never once did she look back.
