East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

MAGNÚS RÃ"ARR DVÆRG
BROTHER of IÃ"RKÆLL & STALLARI of ÚTLAGI
w e r e l i o n

As he sat next to this little girl â€" no matter the battle of fear and admiration she was undergoing â€" having a conversation with her, she made him feel nearly human again. He realized how shallow all his interaction had been between his gruesome obligation of playing the Grim Reaper. He realized that he understood himself more as an animal than a man. He could not remember the last time he chose to be in a genuine conversation. Usually he was bullshitting someone or babbling nonsense to other people at bars or in line in stores. He had yet to even have a decent talk with his brother.

She chatters along with him before having a sobering moment; perhaps this beast could be a criminal? He looks the part, doesn't he? He simply arches a brow with mimicking question. Of course he was. Wasn't it all too obvious, even beyond the bad-boy facade? But he was not about to answer her; leaving it at a simple jest with another chuckle and moving on.

Her reaction to his last statement was as suspected, her face deepening into a bright red color. It was adorable, really. If Magnus wanted to keep this little kitten around, he could not keep his secrets forever. He would have to feed her bits of trivia about who he is until she could handle the whole truth. And of course, testing the waters along the way. She stutters and struggles for a response and he simply watches her as she attempts to regain her composure. "Of course not, but the risk made it that much more fun." he says despite her plead for him not answer her, leaning toward her slightly to do so.

He continues with another inquiry and just as he was about to give her an early congratulations on her school, the elevator slips in the shaft and throws the little lady into his lap. He chuckles under his breath as she checks him for any bruises, scanning her forehead for any redness of her own. He says nothing, not wanting to make it any worse for her as she removes herself from atop his legs. And when the elevator jerks again, he puts his opposite arm out so that she lands in his lap and not against the wall. He wraps his arm around her when she sits up to look up at him, pulling her rump closer to him and tucking his fingers under her thigh.

How could he not take advantage?

"I'm fine." he says softly, his other hand sweeping her bangs from her forehead to inspect her this time. "Are you okay?"
