The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He enjoyed teasing her about this Malek character. She seemed obviously interested in him and yet there she was again, underestimating herself even with this new aura of confidence around her. She taunted him about not finding her prince charming yet and he gave her a mischeveous smirk. "Well maybe we can find you a prince charming for the night then and you can worry about your more permanent solution at a later date." He chuckled and gave her a wink. He would totally play wingman for her or even get Isolt to play wingwoman if that fit her better. Yumi deserved to be happy in any expanse of the word and he wanted to be assured she would be having fun tonight. He'd had his share of playing around with women after all. Of course he seemed to pick the wrong kind of women for him, before he met Isolt, of course. Katherine was just a manipulative hussy only out for her own means and then there was Elena, too innocent, too human for his life. He was never good at picking them so guess he lucked up when he found Isolt. He happily let Yumi ride on his back to the bar, not that she weighed anything at all. She all but leapt from his back like a cheetah though when she saw Isolt, running at her like a banshee to embrace her like a long lost friend. He knew that they lived together so maybe he had been stealing a little too much of Isolt's time since his return. He didn't regret a moment of it but he kind of felt bad for Yumi now. Of course that didn't stop his darkest desires from burning to life in his eyes when his gaze fell on his fiance. She had a way of drawing his attention even in a room full of people. She did it on any given night at Red on the Water even on their busiest nights. She could beat out any human, were, witch, vampire, you name it, in his book. She was perfect. His gaze only moved from her at Yumi's scolding tone, telling him he could have her after the date night. He offered her a sheepish grin in return and shrugged. "I'll behave..." He made a show of putting his hand behind his back as if to cross his fingers, his gaze shifting to Isolt with mishief once again. Of course he didn't plan on making Yumi uncomfortable if he could help it. This was her night, in his opinion. He was just along for the ride. He assured them to stay there, hearing Yumi's singsong voice behind him repeating the same words to Isolt before he heard her dancing steps behind him. He only smirked, his eyes glowing brightly as he stepped into the bar area and called for attention. Once that was done, he turned back to Yumi, only to have her exclaim something in another language at him. He raised a brow in question and she repeated it in english, to which he nodded his head in acknowledgement. "Piece of cake." He said with a smug smirk as he followed her back over to Isolt. Then she said that he knew where they were going, saying that she didn't want to leave Malek waiting for them. "Oh no, wouldn't want to keep him waiting. Guess we'd better run along." He said in a playful tone, still teasing her about trying to hook them up. As Isolt moved toward him, he instinctively leaned toward her, as if her body were a magnet and he couldn't help but follow its command. Her purring voice in his ear brought a soft mmm noise to his lips, his brow raised at her expectantly as he felt her lips at his neck. "Oh, the things I will do to you." He whispered back, knowing she would hear as they both moved to turn their attention back to Yumi. It seemed Isolt had heard a thing or two about this Malek, her eyes lighting up as his name was mentioned and she said that it was about time she would get to meet him. "Seems it's an honor we'll both get." He teased at Yumi, his hand instinctively reaching to entwine his fingers with Isolt's as she told Yumi to lead the way. He gave her a nod as if in agreement before following Yumi out into the night. |
