Being given permission by the soft spoken woman, Killian sat himself in the chair. His cup setting gently on the wooden table that separated the two strangers.
Comfortable in the chair that he had sat in, Killian took a moment to survey his surroundings.
Splashes of color popped in the café, and would catch his eye: The hues of warm red and the mixtures of wooden and other arrays of colorful pictures, antiques and decorations made this place seem warm and welcome to everyone that stepped into its cozy walls.
Whilst on the outside â€" Cool Autumn air nipped at the passers walked with their hands tucked into their coats, or covered with the warm and comforting fabric of their gloves.
Necks bundled up in scarves to keep the chill from their skin.
Though their destinations may of been unknown to Killian, the sight of all the business of the café and the street side made him feel comfortable and relaxed.
His attention was then suddenly diverted from the sights of the world, with some simple words from the female â€" Her name; Beylani it was.
She had even asked Killian his after introducing herself. Such was a normal case in all the world of introductions.
"Killian.. Killian Carrick. It's me pleasure to make your acquaintance Beylani!"
He would reply to her in his thick accent, and his emerald orbs shining a little. Along with the pupils of his eyes expanding.
Killian had found happiness in this little corner of the world, and at the thought that he'd be finally making a friend with Beylani.
Her aura and presence were what drew Killian to her. After all, this was a normal way of how Killian would make friends. At least back home in Ireland. But here, he knew it wouldn't be any different.
"So, what has drawn you to this cozy little place if I may ask?
Me â€" I was shown this place by a woman walking the sidewalk. And I can see why."
He would state, lifting his cup to sip the delicate froth and caramel syrup that topped it.
The rich espresso and flavoring slipped through, and delighted Killian's taste buds. It had been a long time since he has tasted something so masterfully made.
"The coffee is perfect."
Killian gushed delightfully, as he set his cup down and would examine his slice of fresh pound cake from the corner of his eye. Seeing that Beylani didn't have anything else other than her coffee.
He took the pastry into his hand and lifted it up into both his and Beylani's line of sight.
"Interest ya in a sample perhaps? After all, ladies first. And I'd hate to eat this rudely in front of you while ya have nothin' else with ya."
