East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

Her knuckles sting with the impact but it felt good to hit something... someone. Perhaps she should have pulled her punch a bit more as the man staggers backwards, his head snapping to the side and blood begins to drip from the cut on his cheek bone. She almost felt bad â€" almost. Vhalla snarls at him, daring him to say it again, to suggest he pay her to go home with him. This asshole had no idea the shit Ivan put her through, what she had to deal with on a daily basis. She had to take that from Ivan and his repulsive ways, she refused to take it from some stranger. Vhal glares down her nose at the man, noting the way that smirk does not leave his face, however, she's very aware of his fists tightening at his sides.

She just needed to push him a bit more.

His casual compliment only infuriates the assassin more, those icy eyes of hers turning practically into living flames. The witch was so entirely close to losing control, to demolishing this establishment and all of its patrons. She takes a breath, she would not take her wrath out on innocents. Control. She had learned how to control that fire that flowed through her veins. She follows his gaze towards the ghostly pale bartender and she settles a glare on him, strong enough that would make lesser men run, however, the bartender had nowhere to run. He merely presses his back against the far side, eyes wide at the confrontation the assassin started.

Icy eyes dart back to Laz, brows drawn down in a furious scowl as he chuckles darkly at her. Watching him take a step towards her, she merely goads him with a look, as if saying 'I dare you' and still he doesn't jump at the fact that she hit him first. She knew what she was doing. She knew not many people would hit a woman first (except for in her line of work), unfortunately for them, she used that to her advantage. The next words that drip from his mouth has a malicious smile stretching across Vhalla's plump lips.

She despised pet names.

"You have no idea," she hums darkly at him, lifting her left hand only for it to be engulfed in flames. The bartender says something but she ignores him and instead lurches her hand forward, sending that fireball directly towards that man's face. The fire isn't meant to hurt him, instead it merely kisses his skin gently with warmth before disappearing altogether. It was merely a distraction as she closes that distance between them, sending a leg out to sweep his feet from beneath him, his body collapsing to the floor with a loud thud. Control. It was the mantra she repeated to herself as she quickly straddles him, her left hand planted on his chest, pinning him in place.

That anger that courses through her body makes her unaware that she has lingering magic within her hand, enough fire to simply burn through his shirt and successfully scorch that skin. Drawing back her right hand, entirely ready to smash his face in, she hears the bartender speaking again and this time she stops herself from punching the man. Her icy eyes slowly travel up to the bartender, who is leaning over the bar, his face white with fear but he stands his ground, "If you both don't leave I'm going to call the cops," he stammers out but Vhal merely levels another glare at him before returning her attention back to the man pinned beneath her, the scent of burned skin filling the air. Reining in that magic, she sneers down at him.

"You're not worth it," she growls before pulling herself off of him, brushing her black jeans off as if to remove any dirt. Turning on the bartender who scuttles away from her, she merely arches a brow at him. Pulling a small wad of cash out of her pocket, she tosses it on the bar to pay for the broken bottle on the ground before turning on a heel and stepping over the man still on the ground. Glancing down, she grins smugly at him before exiting the club without another word, ignoring the stares she receives and the way the people part to allow her to leave.
