He could tell Arlo was surprised by his comment about being a vampire being the best thing. He didn't accept it at first. He hated his father for killing him and he hated his brother for making him turn. He didn't want this for himself. He tried to lose himself in suicide and when that didn't work, he lost himself in chaos. Once he flipped his humanity switch back on though he was able to take into account all the pro's of being an immortal. And that's when he started investing and really living it up. Arlo could be a rich man too some day if he applied his powers and worked the system. Finally Arlo said that they would wait and see and he smirked and nodded. Yes, yes they would. Arlo assured him that he wouldn't hunt on patrons from the tavern anymore but asked if he would give him some of the trouble makers. Damon let him know it could be arranged and he watched Arlo's features light up, telling him he could teleport there pretty quick. Damon chuckled. "I don't doubt it." Arlo surprised him by asking about a job. He didn't think he would be interested in that. Arlo said he had people skills and Damon smirked, handing him a card. "I'll let Isolt know to set up an interview. We'll see if it's a fit." He followed the instructions smoothly that Arlo gave out though he noted that they didn't stop in front of a house. There was no lingering scent of Arlo here so he knew it wasn't his house. Arlo was smart. He didn't want Damon to know where he lived. Damon could only smirk as Arlo got out. Arlo leaned on the car, handing Damon a piee of paper before telling him not to give out his number and that he'd still like to taste his blood. Damon chuckled. "See ya around, Arlo." He winked before revving the engine and taking off downt he road, heading back to Isolt and his life in a coven. |
