East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Raven was not one that was willing to divulge anything about her past. Every day she did her best to not think about such things or even attempt to remember them. Yet she would have flash backs, painful scenarios that appeared before her as if she were living it all over again. Each scar that was marked on her pale flesh, whichever scenario came to life that particular mark would flare up as if the first time it happened occurred. Talking about it only caused her more suffering. So, she kept quiet always dodging any inquires. Besides, it wasn't necessary something that everyone had privy to. Though for Tobias she didn't mind saying something. With the amount of time she had spent around him she could pick up some similar signs the two shared that only those that have been mistreated could spot. A subtle flinch, increased wary observation, hard time getting close to others, where he was aggressive she was passive; both had their secrets laid out for all to see, but not everyone could read them. Raven had noticed how he was cold with her for a while before he slowly started to warm up. Even though he had two members with a long relationship, he was willing to give her a try. Raven had zero long relationships and it had taken Tobi awhile to even get her to start to form that bond. It started out small, the hunts, the plays, the time around one another, but it only increased when she grew accustomed to him all around. His scent always on her, his form brushing against hers without flinching when they played or walked beside one another. Both recoiled from each other's touch before, but that hadn't happened for a while now. Now when one touched the other, whether it was getting into the hammock, out of the hammock, or simply just sleeping whatever touch there was, neither of them shrunk back. Both were learning to be okay with one another. Raven knew Tobi was different and had an inkling he would not bother her with questions. Perhaps that was why she was willing to speak about something she never wished to talk about, or maybe, she simply trusted him the most- the first one she had ever grown and learn to trust.

"Yes, but we could go torment Azrael together? Then we both can get a shoe."

The curly-haired woman was not like most girls. Most girls collected all sorts of shoes to wear. She did not care what shoe she had. So long as she could chew on it, it did not matter what it was. The young woman would make a mental note to provide him a gift of a shoe when the time came for it. She didn't own many things, even though she was a kind and giving creature, she was not one that was willing to share a good shoe. Though the talks of shoe was interrupted by their meal. It did not go unnoticed to her how Tobi glared at the males and she was surprised to see he would do something about her uneasiness when it came to the waiters, but she did not question it. The young woman simply assumed it was because they were a threat to his meal, not wanting them to take away the food the waiters just brought. The idea he did it on her behalf was too much of an outlandish thought. She was of no importance to him so why he would be willing to do something for her was hard to consider. As the two ate she would shift her eyes taking note of how the patrons around them spoke even louder with their disgust at his behavior. Her brows furrowed as she continued with her meal displeased that they lived in a society that was hardly accepting. As soon as both were finished with their meal and dessert she heard him speak up and she slid out of her booth quietly. One hand began to dig into the pocket of her jeans until she stopped and simply watched as Tobi received nasty looks as he walked by. Raven was always a tolerant and patient creature and it was not in her way to break such a streak. However, it would seem that her patience had worn thin with those patrons around them. Blue-grey eyes glared as she walked silently past them her mind whirling as to what she could possibly do. The idea that their plates of food and silverware should be thrown around brought amusement, but before she could let out a chuckle she heard the shrieks and the sound of silverware and plates crashing to the floor. Puzzled she watched as each plate and glass were flung off the table, some falling into their patrons lap or slamming into their face, while the silverware flew across the rooms landing along the walls. Baffled she hurried to the front where she just saw Tobi partial shift and scare the staff that stood at the door. The woman they had met earlier when they first came in pointed one bony finger at her, fear in her eyes as she shrieked. You...you broke everything...I saw... The ever so passive curly-haired woman simply shrugged her shoulders, for the first time not really caring about her actions or the consequences that could come after. Quietly she walked past the woman, her hand digging into her pocket and dropping a few green bills on the man that Tobi had scared earlier, and with one hand on the already open door that Tobi held the young woman looked back. A sickly sweet voice slipped past her lips as a coy smile appeared on that mauled face, that almost gave the illusion that she wasn't as nice as she made herself to be.

"Well, I said he would be well behaved...I didn't say I would be."

With that said she walked through the doors looking over at Tobi. A giant grin on her face quite proud of herself indeed. Truly this was out of character for her, to be mean to others, but even she had her limits. It could be a sign of loyalty and it could be a sign that the young woman was starting to pick up some destructive habits from Tobi, but that may be hard to say. Reaching for his hand, as he had done earlier with her, she would gently tug him in the direction of the West. As soon as he followed she would step in place at his side not taking the lead spot. Letting go of his hand she would simply mutter softly to him what she wished to do now.

"Come on Tobi, I'd like to go to your territory."

The East remained unclaimed and it was unfamiliar. Being in the West brought her the luxury of feeling safe. As far as she was aware, Tobi's scent marks were everywhere along the warehouse district and any Were would understand, that he was the one in charge of that place and right now, she wanted to feel liked she belonged.
