East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

we built this city on broken glass

He was aware, on some level, of that game tetradore was attempting to play with him. The more wrong choices he made the more chances to drink Frost was given and yet, while he remained appraised of that trick of sorts the stallion saw little need not to agree to it. He wanted to drink and, more then that, if Tetradore was willing to embrace the idea of attempting to weaken the illusionist themselves then it meant the panther had at least been listening to what he said. Frost willing enough to take that as a victory for now as he summoned that illusionary power once more to conceal his own appearance. Frost taking on Tetradore's own form in that moment as he continued to sip at that liquor each time the panther made a wrong choice. It was only after the fifth wrong choice that the stallion felt any need to comment on the mans rather pathetically poor performance before the touch of that drink drew his gaze downward to examine his own feet and those skate shoes he now wore. A different brand to the ones he usually preferred. Fuck but Tetradore had big bloody feet. Frost scowling at them further before muttering that comment on the mans shoes only to be informed it was him they likely didn't fit. The stallions own shoulders shifted into a shrug of sorts, another swig of that drink taken.

"We can't all be bloody giants, mate."

Tetradore was hardly a 'giant' by any stretch of the imagination, hell, his Beta was the bloody giant of the group. The guy was basically a giraffe and yet, either way, Tetradore was taller then Frost himself. That alone enough to warrant the comment as far as the equine was concerned. Those very illusions had begun to...waver slightly in the wake of those words and Tetradore's more astute choices. Several more drinks passing the stallions lips before his focus on those illusionary bottles had slipped enough to see several of them fail entirely. His Were Companion left with decidedly few choices and only one unwavering bottle. Tetradore plucking that very real object from the ground a moment later. Hmm. It took him damn long enough and yet a victory was a victory all the same. Frost affording the man his dues as Tet collapsed atop that hood beside him to enjoy that whisky he'd won. The stallion offering the man that further example of how else those illusions could be picked apart by holding up that very bottle he drunk from within his left hand- when Tetradore himself was clearly right-handed. That illusion falling away a moment later to return Frost to his usual appearance as the Panther offered that near derisive snort in response. Frosts own eyes rolling at this blunt words.

"The point, you ass, is to have you remember to look for things as simple as that. Illusionists make mistakes. They are never perfect. Illusions real power is making you think or feel something rather than merely see something. Picking the illusion apart gives you a bit of power back- sometimes that's all you need."

If anyone knew as well as he did just how much even a tiny bit of having that power back meant he was sure it was the man beside him and yet Frost hardly afforded it any further comment. The stallion content to enjoy that drink all the same, that silence settling upon the pair once more and yet it was hardly an uncomfortable silence in any sense. Curiosity alone prompting the words from the normally silent stallions lips. That alcohol, it seemed, prompting a talkativeness from them both that was altogether rare. The war horse offering that mention off his own creation, in a sense, with that curiosity for what else Tetradore could do when it came to those powers. He already knew of the man's ability to teleport and that armor of sorts that seemed to surround him and yet that could hardly be all the man could do. What did it matter now if they shared those powers? Besides, he'd agreed to join this war of sorts against Tetradore's vampire. Knowing what his companion could do would at least provide him something to work with. Frost the very sort of being who strove to collect any information that might prove helpful to him and that newfound joint cause they shared on some level.

He hardly anticipated the idea of any sort of fear manipulation and yet, he supposed, Tetradore's near inability to use it on him in most instances perhaps limited his own exposure to it at the hands of the cat. The idea of that venom however was of intrigue, Frost's features contorting slightly at the thought of the capabilities of that. He had never met a Were with any sort of venom based power before and yet most of his exposure to other Were's had come in the form of other equines. Such a power rare among the hoofed species. Frost seeming to consider that idea a moment longer as he lent further back on the hood of that car.

"If you bite another Were does the wound still heal or does your venom slow it down?"

After all, it seemed logical that Were-venom might jeopardize Were-healing. Frost's mind decidedly astute when it came to those matters he found an interest within. His thoughts already shifting toward a decidedly pointed end goal in this line of questioning and yet for now he merely sort to store such information of only for the possibilities it might present them both with later. Frost frowning slightly again in consideration of that combination off his companions ability.

"Your powers are almost all offensive. That's unusual. Except the teleportation thing. Was your Father or Mother a teleporter too? Teleporting is usually an inherited trait. The place I was born used to have a research center, did a lot of work on affinities. Teleporting was rarely developed out of the blue. It was usually linked to something more than just chance- or so the papers said."

Frost shrugged once more, why he was offering the man that information he hardly knew and yet, what did it matter all the same? Still, that point of curiosity had hardly been satisfied just yet. Frost taking another drink from that bottle before turning that violet gaze onto the man that rested beside him.

"The day we fought. I thought you were dead. Did you just teleport away?"

It hadn't....looked like he had teleported and yet that was an affinity Frost knew little about. Maybe the man simply had done just that and yet even Frost remembered that ash and smoke. If it was some sort of affinity Tetradore had hardly mentioned it and maybe he wouldn't, Frost hardly caring enough to demand those answers from him all the same and yet he could hardly deny he was curious of just what had happened that day. Still, a deal was a deal he supposed. Those cool, easy words slipping from his lips once more.

"You know about the illusions and the temperature thing I have, plus the mind reading. I also have an ability to transfer any wound or injury I have to someone else, healing myself instantly and giving them back every wound they gave me. I can also, I dunno, I have some affinity I don't understand. People can't.....force me to do anything I don't want to do. It's like an affinity for will power or something. It's what stops your fear thing working on me, for the most part. I don't really know what it is though."
