East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He made sure all was well inside, both vampires lovingly tucked into bed for the day before he ventured outside to check on the defenses as he did on a daily basis. He checked all his magical traps that wrapped all the way around the property and only once satisfied nothing would get in to harm his girlfriend or child, he went into the garage with a contented sigh and looked upon his other most precious possession. The baby, as he called her, had been in his family for centuries. He'd repaired her after multiple crashes and other unfortunate incidents and had even been told she was totaled a few times and yet he'd always found a way to bring the Impala back from it.

Now was the time to get out and show her off. He'd washed her and cleaned her out and polished her till she shined just for today. There was a local car show going on in Sacrosanct and he'd be woefully disappointed if he missed out on it. He knew his car wasn't a true classic or anything but she was always in style to him and that's all that mattered. He got in and starred the engine, closing his eyes for a minute in appreciation as she roared to life. It was the most beautiful sound in the world and he'd never tire of it. Once he'd gotten his fill, he headed out onto the highway, heaing further into town, but his thoughts were never far from Amelia and Tenley sleeping soundly at home.

It didn't take him long to find the car show. The streets were crowded and classics of all ages lined the sides of the road, hoods lifted and doors opened in such a welcoming way that he thought he might faint. This was the beauty of humanity. He had lived through so many ages of humans and most of it he could do without and never shed a tear but to lose automobiles...that would be a crime. Sure, he could just fly anywhere he wanted but there was nothing discreet about that. Finding a parking space, he pulled in and locked the car, listening for that melodic chirp that said no one was getting in. Sure, it was nice that others were so welcoming with their vehicles but he was stingy and there was no way dirty fingers were setting foot in that car.
