East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Why would each pack be after something the other had, but not want more than the others? That didn't make sense to the young woman. Their animal side craved dominance be it a singular or group manner. If the goal of the pack was to achieve one thing then they would work together to ensure they were successful. Failure was never an option. Failure was weakness, and no one wanted to be weak. It was surprising to see that Frost was willing to explain and share the stores he knew. Frost had no reason nor need to do such a thing. Perhaps her sugary treats were the reason why Frost was willing to open his mouth and explain things. Raven wasn't going to point out to Frost that he was being so forthcoming with her. That would probably shut him up. If he was being this honest and blunt with her maybe she could do the same thing with Tetradore. After all, the man loved his sweets, and she was sure she could get him to talk with her, maybe. As he tried to explain the story further she didn't miss the moment his last words held a bite to it. Clearly he had zero interest in telling her more about his medallion. Which seemed quite unfair, because he knew everything about them and what needed to be done. Yet she couldn't blame him for not telling her everything. After all he had to have the upper hand...on everything. As he started to explain Fenrir and what had happened to him, it was obvious to her how similar their stories were, in such a way as the treatment they had from their 'masters.' Each time Raven argued that they deserved their cruel fate she would strongly rebut, and remind herself that they didn't deserve that sort of fate. And yet, Raven was starting to have a hard time trying to argue that Fenrir shouldn't have attacked them. He had the right. Just like she did. With a sigh she nodded quietly for a moment in agreement.

"Yes, he was right. I guess...you were right too, about me."

The lupine hardly wanted to agree with Frost's judgement that her pack deserved to die by her teeth and paws. Perhaps after years of denial it was time she admitted to the fact that her pack did indeed deserve to die. Deep down though she wished her old pack wasn't as abusive as they were. If only they were kind to her then maybe she wouldn't be where she was. A sad and broken creature. When Frost told her what the markings meant on the amulet, she was quite surprised to hear it. It was so very random and odd. And as he dived into the meaning of the other amulets she was a bit disappointed to hear that the minor Gods could only be used once. It was unfortunate. The idea that her mate would enjoy Freya's location didn't make much sense to her. Not until he explained that the abandoned settlement would be ideal for her mate to bask in the sun. However, that didn't seem like something a pack would fight one another to have. The perfect sun basking area? No. There was something Frost didn't know all about it, or he thought he did. Either way, she was sure that she and Tobias would find out the real reason for Freya and this...Sunstone area. The question from Frost led Raven to nod for a moment as she threw another question at him.

"Do you think it is okay that we have both? I mean, I guess it's fair that we have both, but...do you think...I don't know something seems interesting at least. Did any of the stories talk about what could occur if all four were together?"

Didn't Frost find it odd or even concerning that they were finding these items at the same time as one another? Did that seem strange? Was it something to be concerned about? Was it just a coincidence? She wasn't finding them on purpose, not like him. She was just stumbling across them. The moment he spoke about holding up her bargain, Raven saw it as a sign that she was overstaying her welcome. Those sugar baked goods could only get her so far.

"And yes, you did hold up your end of the bargain. I would like to keep the raven one, just in case I need to overhear a conversation. Which leaves me giving you Fenrir's or Freya's. Once I solve them and figure out whatever it is they can do, I will let you know, and we can decide from there. Does that seem fair to you? Friday I can give you the money in cash, should I meet you here or somewhere else?"
