East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The young witch could only offer her companion the smallest of shrugs, entirely uncertain of what to even offer as an answer. "Something more...tasteful?" She inquired, reaching out to gingerly prod another of the critters. She'd considered sticking another in her mouth, just as she had considered what they'd taste like with a side of melted butter. Hm...considerations. Unfortunately for Serafina, she hardly was given another change to indulge in the seafood, left to eternally question if she liked them or not. The touch upon her neck quickly captured her attention, her stormy gaze meeting the striking blue ones beside her. She leaned in towards him as per his request, feeling the sensation of his breath upon her flesh. The slow draw of his masculine voice created a sense of anticipation within her as he slowly counted down to what Serafina had considered a rather big event - the one she had come to this stuffy affair for within the first place. Her gaze slowly shifted to their victim, waiting for the potion she had so delicately crafted to take into effect. She could almost see it - almost, the poison moving through his system, leaving not even the slightest hint of it's existence as it rushed to his heart.

Her attention shifted at the flickering of the overheard lights, her eyebrows furrowing as she cautiously eyed the bulbs above her. That was, until the rumble of the earth beneath her tore her stare. He was a earth bender. He had to be. This was vastly too coincidental to be entirely uncontrolled by the male beside her. Serafina had heard of their kind - the ones who could control aspects of the element as if it was second nature. Then again, she had heard of many kinds of magic, magic that she was entirely incapable of performing on her own. She certainly couldn't say that he failed to impress. Her grey hued gaze shifted within his direction, an inquisitive, calculating look crossing her feminine features. My, she was learning quite a bit about him wasn't she? Despite the concern that crossed the face of her fellow patrons, Serafina remained settled beside the inquisitive enigma, completely trusting within his ability to keep her safe.

Slowly Serafina rose with her companion, her gaze quickly adjusting to the sudden dimness of light despite the screams she heard around her. Her fingertips lightly grazed on the back of the chairs, following him around the table and towards the fallen figure. A part of her was pleased - ecstatic that she had been helpful in this little mission, that her potion had done it'd job precisely. It was moments like these that retained her self confidence. She might not have flashy powers but she could surely whip up death in a bottle without a single hitch. She watched in silence as he pressed his fingers to the man's neck, even though she knew there would be no pulse pumping through those veins. With apathy she observed the way his hands fitted around his neck, a sickening sound of bones snapping causing her to frown. The job was done - twice over. Or at least it was....for a moment. Her hand slowly rose to her mouth as his neck snapped back into place, a soft gasp leaving her lips. "You didn't tell me he was a vampire." She hissed at her companion, panic entering her stormy gaze. Without hesitating the young woman reached out, her fingertips tightly gripping upon Davante's arm as she did her best to quite literally pull him from the vampire's grip. It was best of the retreated for now - retreated, reformed, and reattached because if there was anything she was certain of - it was that he would neither forget this moment or let them live long to remember it.
