East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

East

He didn't know how much more he could take. It felt like everything was crumbling and yet she held fast like Fort Knox. He knew she was in just as much agony as he felt so why didn't she just say fuck it and allow him to get them both off? It would be so much easier. But all too soon, their fun was over cause the darkness wasn't their friend anymore. Everything was silent, too silent. It was like the calm before the storm and the moment Amelia's body tensed, Troy could feel it, his arm tightening around her in response. He'd be damned before anything happened to her. When chaos broke out, Troy overrode his Hunter instincts to protect the innocent in leu of protecting the only important person in this room. Amelia was both a strength and a weakness cause he would always choose her over anything else. If he were here by himself, he would be trying to herd the people to safety but in this moment, he couldn't even find the mindset to move.

He only wanted to hold her and save her. It was all that mattered. He glanced down at Amelia as the smell of fresh blood hit him. Was it her or one of the hundreds of other people getting shot at? He couldn't be sure, but his concern was only for her wellbeing. He was quick to use his powers to their aide, wrapping his wings around them in a cocoon of steel to defend from further damage. Bullets dinged off like pebbles and the stakes would have no chance. He hadn't even really had a chance to use this power until this moment and he was grateful to have a way to defend his fiance tonight. She told him that it was nothing and his nostrils flared in anger to know it was indeed her that got shot. His clones doubled their efforts on hurting the attackers. And yet her couldn't help the sudden gleam in his eyes when she said she would feed later. He leaned in close, his lips brushing her ear. "I hope I'm part of the main course." He couldn't help whisper teasingly, leaning back with a devilish smirk.

Leave it to him that in the midst of chaos, he could flirt with his fiance. He could feel her sudden urgency to get out though and he was quick to mirror it, his hand going to the small of her back to lead her to the back exit, his wings continuing their shielding as they ran. He felt fear stabbing his heart at the thought that this could have been a job for them. Were others sent to their home? Was Tenley in danger? Once they made it through the doors, he saw her checking herself and he made sure to peek as well, wanting to make sure it was indeed nothing to worry about. At his teasing words, she told him he attracted danger and he leaned back, putting a hand over his heart and feigning hurt. "Ouch. That hurt. I guess I'll just have to buy a private club just for you and me. No one else allowed." He gave a bad boy smirk, his brow lifting daringly. His tone was playful but it wasn't that he wouldn't do it cause he would, in a heartbeat.

He squeezed her hand when she took it. "Yes ma'am." At her sudden question, he turned to glance at her, smiling down at her head resting on his shoulder. He shook his head before kissing the top of her dark hair. "It's called survivor's guilt for a reason. And no, it's never wrong. But that doesn't make it wrong to survive." He glanced back only once as the shots slowly quieted down behind them. He had great distance on his clones so they would capture the men responsible and call in the Council to deal with them. They would round up the wounded and call ambulances for those who needed it too. He felt like a multi-tasker tonight, but his true self was doing the most important thing: walking the love of his life to his car to get her home safely. He felt a surge of relief when he saw Baby sitting right where he parked her, not a ding in sight. She was certainly a sight for sore eyes. He opened the passenger door for her, allowing her to get settled before he got in the driver's seat and started the engine. "Let's go home." He murmured, his hand finding her thigh as he pulled out and headed back to the house.
